Thanks to Marc for putting it together and everybody who participated and helped out.

I changed my tune about the rain and have gotten a lot more comfortable. I had a couple great sessions and spent the last hour just trying to stay focused on driving for more than the usual 20-30 minutes. I've gotten a lot better at it IMO. It was a great event.

does anyone else have trouble keeping wideband sensors alive? i apparently killed the brand new one i put in two days ago...

 

i had mirrors and cotton ***** but they kept getting blown away by the wind.

 

i go through about one every year. i get them from autozone for $56 and they come with one year warranty. so if they don't go bad before the year is up, i take them back anyways to get a new one

 

what sensor are you getting? i get the bosch front sensor for a vw 1.8t for the same 50ish bucks...i keep buying new ones...no idea they gave a warranty on them

 

yeah, i use the bosh 17014 sensor. they come with 1 year warranty, it says on your receipt. you shouldn't be burning through 02 sensors that quick unless you're running leaded gas.

 

yeah, i think the sensor position is crap on my part, but might be soethin else too. but if its got a warranty why bother fixing it

 

make sure the o2 heater wire is working.

 

I had fun yesterday and Friday night. It was good to see everyone in person, and not just through this thread, email, gchat, or text. Watching Grillo drift around the track during the last session was fun.
