PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
My BMW CCA membership expires in March. Do you think if I sign up for GVC event before that I can get away with not renewing right away? Do you think you have to be an active member at the time of the event or the time of registration?
I drove the Evo to work today. It hasn't run in a month and that **** started up lickity f^cking split for me this morning. I usually roll it out of the garage since it acts as a baffle for all my neighbors but didn't today because I was curious as to whether the battery had enough juice.
Driving it, it's like driving a 1000hp F1 car compared to the beat down corolla. Passing on the highway is quick and effortless; even when they try to "race" you to prevent you from passing.

Motorsports.reg remembers your CCA numbers and dates, so most likely you need to be in good standing to register. You might get away with registering now, while you are active, letting it lapse, then renewing right before the event. You will definitely need to have an active membership for the event...that is how you are covered by their insurance. That's why you can get a weekend SCCA membership...covers participant insurance.

So I happened to stay out in Lancaster last night, and drove back to the city for work this morning. Took the old ES300, read Toyota Camry, we have at home. Slow but safe and reliable car. This d*ck in an Evo X tries to race me everytime I tried to change lanes. The f*ck is wrong with these young a$$holes these days.
That sure wasn't me!
The only defensive/offensive thing I did this morning was to a late model ES300 or 360 (whatever) on 202 and that was because he was annoying me and trying to break up my momentum.
I never have people try to race me when I'm in the Evo. I drive in to work early and leave early. I notice more ricers and people with performance cars when I leave work around the 4-5 o'clock rush hour (which is rare). I guess I miss errbody with my schedule.
I wouldn't race them though since I have a five speed and all the roads are made for six speeds......

I usually try not to go faster than 70 these days. It's not worth the ticket. But ever since I did the 2.3L build, the car seems like it doesn't want to go any slower than 80...it gets there so quickly too.
...and I started working out again this week.
Subtle mad power/weight for that HPDE point-by post.
