Nah, just on the highway, I pick a speed and intend to stay at the speed despite whatever jerkoff tries to get in the way. The fact that it isn't a momentum is what makes it awesome to drive sometimes to give the corolla a break.

Technically muscle is heavier than fat, so Chu probably just traded off. That's why I keep my pot belly, low CG and lighter than muscle!

Yeah, I'm very impressed with the mileage. I have gotten over 40 mpg on certain trips down the turnpike or too the outlets, but not averaged over a full tank. I actually just got my worst tank so far (29 mpg for a full tank) the other week. Traffic on rt 1 in jersey was horrendous.

These results my also just be because I'm the driver, I am known to be the slowest of the PCD drivers

I couldn't dream of getting 40mpg without removing two spark plugs and running on mechanical boost.

Doesn't your f30 have the feature where it shuts the motor off when stopped at a light? Can that be disabled? That's got to be the most annoying feature ever made. I see a newer X5 everyday in the city and the motor shuts off at all the stop signs. I wonder if that's even good for a motor considering it has to build oil pressure back up every time it restarts (I know it only takes a second or two but still).

I dont' think stop signs meets BMW's Auto-ON-OFF activation criteria. In any case, it only works when the motor is at full operating temp. Morning cold starts will do more damage than the on-off function being activated. Maybe annoying, but not detrimental.

It does have the auto start stop feature. Luckily, it can be disabled upon entering he vehicle. The downside is that you need to disable it every time you get in and out of the car, or change driving modes (Eco pro through sport +).

It seems like a lot of people don't like the stop start feature, but it really doesn't bother me too much. In all honesty, the motor starts so quickly that the transition from removing your foot from the brake (which in turn, starts the motor) to putting it on the gas, is pretty much simultaneous.

To end the story, I have turned off the feature maybe 2 or 3 times in some bad bumper to bumper traffic.
