PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
well i guess theoretically if you level it as close to the tire as possible it should be decently accurate right? toe wont be effected by the surface at least. i should probably just order the tool and not take it back to the shop...
sticking my iphone with level app on the center of the wheel is showing about -3.5 on one side and almost -6 on the other.

From what I have gathered as long as you are on a decent surface you can self level the tool prior. In the front set your toe most likely 0 toe and if the wheel is straight youre good to go. The back is trickier as you need a reference point or else there is no way to tell individual toe. Thus your toe could look even but it could be one side toe in once side toe out, think parallelogram.
yeah i have heard the rear is a PITA, but my rear is fine as of right now. how would you set up a reference point?
my garage floor should be halfway decent i think.
either way it seems id half to be hammered drunk to do a worse job than the shps im using.

Since my car is done for the season I will be pulling off my Ohlins and swapping on stock struts along with my stock wheels and snow tires for winter duty this weekend.
I paid for 4 alignments this year which was money well spent but I'm pretty sure Ill be doing my own from here on out once I purchase some measuring tools.
