They weren't cheap to me at the time

That was also before they were making leaps and bounds on stockish setups with simple stock struts or mr bilsteins with proper spring rates. People were still running tein springs for Christs sake.

I had WORKS springs and Bilsteins at that time. That was a great setup for the street. I thought the rear was a bit soft, but it was 10% increase over stock all around.

Here today for the launch of the new BFGoodrich g-Force Rival. Got 10 laps back to back between this and the new Dunlop on an MX5 Cup car. Full second faster on the Rival, which was much easier to drive at the limit. Very forgiving. Z2 was much more peaky with a narrow window at the limit.
