PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
not change this very interesting topic, but I need some free tech advice...
Just got a used Sharp flat screen that I'm gonna put in my bedroom and I wanna know what the best way to hook it up is. We have Verison FIOS down stairs on our only other TV, we also have FIOS internet. Do I have to get another cable box for the upstairs or is there a way to piggy back off the one box we already have? Also, we have a WII and I've heard you can watch tv, surf the interwebz thru that.

I am not sure you can split an HDMI signal (please do not use component wires, stick to a cheap HDMI cable). Personally I just have a cable box at each TV. You may be able to just run a cable to tv and watch your non premium channels. You probably could get a cable card for TV but all that is a hassle and will cost you $ upfront. Just pay the $5-10 box rental fee and keep it easy peezy.
If you need any HDMI or sound cables try Monoprice or Blue Jeans Cable. DO NOT pay a lot for HDMI cable, waste of $ since it is a digital signal. Monoprice also sell TV wallmounts on the cheap if you need that.

The Wii doesn't have HDMI output, so I would recommend getting a component cable for it if you are going to watch TV and Netflix on it. It would be worth it otherwise it's a standard def signal.
James or anyone else - do you know of anyone who does TV calibrations? With meters and all that jazz. I am speaking to someone in the Philly area right now, but not sure if he will travel to do it. If not I make just buy a meter and software and see what I can do. Then I can hook errbody up...
That's prison talk. Believe me, I know. You put your summer tires on, change the brake fluid, etc....I'll be polishing pins! Do get beside me, you might be blinded!
It's probably more similar to SpeedRaceway(?) in Horsham with electric karts. Track is probably a little smaller than LVGP at low-mid 20 seconds, and not as wide. Each race is 14 laps. Cost is $17 per race, or $45 for a 3 pack. I always get a 3 pack since you can use the races anytime. You don't need to use them all that day.
might be an old post. But i wonder if this is gonna help out the racing/tuning industry. Especially for those shops and or individual weekend warrior types who like to build their own stuff.

I know I'm a little late to the nerd party - I would also suggest manning up and getting the 2nd box. It costs more, but way less of a hassle than trying to piggy-back off the other box. You can split an HDMI cable, but like I said it's not worth it. Monoprice or even newegg has cheap cables. That's all you need.

I've heard of Slick *****'s that price sound OK. They are gas powered then, are you they running 9HP or do they just do low boost?

24 Hours of Daytona is on this weekend. There's been plenty of car **** and racing **** on Facebook from Matt Bell and Leh Keen the last two weeks. I'm glad some live racing in the US is on TV this weekend.

First time all week.
