Well priced tuner for evos??

Hey guys, I'm located in CT. I can only find two spots in the state that actually tunes cars on the dyno. There is EFI Logics, and Rossi's performance. I just installed a custom SRI along with straight pipe after the cat and I figured it would be helpful to get a tune now haha. Does anybody have suggestions for good, well priced tuners? I just want to get the car to perform a little bit better with the mods. Also, it would be nice if they could possibly raise the boost up a bit to about 25psi, and try to make it taper a bit less. I've read the taper on these cars are terrible in stock form!

I'm really new to the car road so excuse my stupid questions haha . What's the difference between a road tuner and a dyno? The name implies that they take it on the street and tune it there. Is that right?

Where in Ct are you? There is Kaizen tuning in Mass and Ivey technologies in NJ, both are reputable.

I'm in CT and I've never heard of any of those places you listed except for EFI. I personally have heard great things about EFI but have not personally gotten anything done there. I would be very careful with who you take your car to. Let me know what you find.

I would go to EFI but I saw on their website that they require you to buy an access port. So you have to buy that on top of the tuning price, which is well over my budget haha

A road tune is exactly as you said. They tune it on the street. A dyno is used for safety first. Strapping your car down to a machine allows tuners not to have to speed down the streets to make logs for tuning. But some road tuners do tune on private property or at a track. Personally I've been tuned on dyno and road tune. I prefer true load on the vehicle plus virtual dyno is pretty accurate as long as vehicle information is put in correctly.

EFI would be my vote or Ivey. Both reputable shops.

Does Ivey require you to purchase your own access port?
