I wouldnt say you're evo has any suspension advantages over urbanknights oz or anyone with a tein basic damper kit/ progress sway bar w/ss perches/ front-rear struts and a lower tie arm. I dont understand why you evo guys look down at us n/t lancer owners. were all family bro.

 

Staright up !! My goal is to get my OZ into the mid 12's and it will happen but with much time and work involved. I would rather buy a $15K car and use my weekly commisions to mod it out than be broke with a stock Evo and no money to mod. This is because I like seeing improvements and if I bought an Evo, I would STILL spend thousands and I have a family to support so that's not feazable (sp?)

 

There is no mention in this thread of suspension setups .... All that was said

1. Bodykit
2. Turbo

as far as an EVO advantage, well no AWD on the OZ etc.

I don't doubt that a really tricked out OZ could outhandle a stock EVO. But I'm not sure, prolly depends upon the track etc. Hell everytime I hit an autocross, a few people w/ real tweaked out wrx's make stock evo's look like garbage trucks.

I'll say it one last time, no problem w/ modded / stock OZ's etc. Beyond that if you are still reading this and deciding we are all EVO snobs, pls remove your head from your ***.

someone making a comment that it smokes STI's ...

Any STI owner prolly knows you just don't throw a turbo on any 2.5 setup and expect to get STI like hp / tq , 1/4 mile numbers.

 

man, who cares, first thing is first, dont' talk about sombody wasting there money, there is always going to be something better and faster out there, like you guys already have the MR coming out that will beat on you, so just cuase people don' thave 30 grand to throw around dont' start calling stuff a waste of money. have a little class and represent your follow owners a little better.

You know I come across coversatons like this on all the lancer forums lately....It's starting to get out of hand, and I think the mods should start taking some action. Insted of talking about the post, we are tring to defend ourselves for no reason.....

Well....everyone has his/her right to do anything with his/her car.
Modding the car's looking, handling, power, and etc.
Of course, not everyone has the same taste, but keep your own comment since you didn't own the car.
I always believe that you earned what you paid!
Simply rule!!

 

Only problem I see is that someone started this thread to see who the owner was and then along comes a smartass with a smartass comment and the damn thing blows up. Lets keep those kinda comments to ourselves, as they are hurtful to others (as shown by the response to the comment).
