everyone gets the same directions, and you are more than welcome to bring a map along if you want.

Portland, Oregon – The National RallySport Association has officially sanctioned Hyperformance MotorSports to conduct 13 RallySport events in the Oregon/SW Washington region. The first RallySport event named “RUGGED MT. HOOD CHALLENGE” is an exciting drivers paradise through the MT. Hood area. Speed is a simple concept. You either have it or you don’t. In RallySport, speed and horsepower is not the only factors needed to win. Driving skill and intelligence is needed to be a champion.
Sorry, but what is the "National RallySport Association?" I can't find any information on that organization. Can you point me to a phone number or website or something?

I take it he didn't respond. Why do I have this sneaking suspicion there is no such sanctioning body?

The National RallySport Association (NRSA) has said we're official, but where can we find information on this 'organization'? I have searched and search, but can only find references to it, closest thing I could find was http://www.nasarallysport.com is this it?

Sorry but I'm gonna have to call bull**** on that one. It's one thing to have events that aren't sanctioned, but it's quite another to invent an organization and claim sanctioning by it. I'll bet anyone dollars to doughnuts this 'organization' is ficticious, and was invented to give "RallySport" some sort of credibility. If this is true, then I wouldn't deal with anyone associated with it, regardless of how well-intentioned they may be.

Let me tell you where I'm getting my view,

These are sanctioning bodies:

SCCA
FIA
Rally America

Notice the transparency and wealth of information....

This "Mad Max" character claims "RallySport" is sanctioned by an organization called the "National RallySport Association." Now, what kind of sanctioning body has no contact information and is located within a private section of a website of one of the organizations they supposedly sanction? Also, what kind of sanctioning body is comprised solely of sponsors? Isn't that a conflict of interest? If there really is such a thing as the "National RallySport Association", it is national in name only, and can only be loosely defined as an organization, not an official sanctioning body.

I see it like this:
If I had a friend named "Superman" and I introduced him to everyone as "The Real Superman" it would be technically true, but it would also be purposely deceptive. McDonald's was sued (and lost) because they used to claim they used "100% American Beef"...Well, that was technically true because they got their beef from a company called "American Beef." However, all their cows were raised in South America somewhere
