Any general mechanic shop can install these easily. No need to go to a special import tuner shop.

I am doing the S-techs tomorrow on my car. It doesnt really seem that difficult to do, but i will find out tomorrow. I would be even easier to do the coilovers since you dont have to mess with removing the springs from the struts. I say do it yourself, save some money, and learn a little in the process. I will do coilovers inthe future.

If you have any questions feel free to hit me up!!

You really should consider doing this yourself... it's super easy. Do a search on the DIY form, from what I recall, there are some really good comprehensive writeups out there to guide you though. A buddy helped me and I did it in under three hours if I remember correctly.

Just remember to get an alignment after your done.

Good luck,
Jason

If you do it yourself just unbolt to control arm that the rear shocks mounts to out at the hub, it will swing down, and let you pull the shock/spring out easily. You'll see what I mean when you get in there.

Get yourself some spring compressors to make the job a bit easier... go to Harbor Freight ... like $11.99

You should do it yourself, it is more rewarding that way.

Also, when you get an alignment, which you will need after you are done, go to Alignment Specilaties in Aloha. The owners name is Bill. He takes his time and will get the setting YOU want!!

Installing the coil over set up is easy. Did you get the pillow ball mounts with the kit. If so just put the kit together pull your complete strut assembly out and switch them. Hardest part is getting the ride hight perfect. Can take some time. And becareful not to let front hubs pull down and pull the front axle apart. Use a jack to support them up. Dont let them hang. Good luck

agreeing with evsevo8 in that the ride hide can be super hard to dial in. i know a guy with an STi that diddled with that crap for about 2 weeks before he just took them off and installed some jdm springs. get them as close to even as possible before they go in.

Installed my coilovers yesterday. It only took me about five hours but it was worth it!! Save myself about 200-300 dollars on the install.

now go to firestone and get yourself an alignment. I went there the other day and got myself the lifetime alignment for 129 clams. you can get your car aligned every 6000 miles for as long as you own the car. I think that is a hell of a deal. 2 alignments will pay for itself.
