Snow !!!!

i think we ought to put together something on a small scale involving a trip in the snow. i am not to familiar with the mt. areas of the NW, so if you have advice i would like to hear it. i thought about going over mt hood, and then back to detroit and back down to estacada. if you want to find some snow, or just think we have potential to kill ourselves, or wreck our cars, i would love to hear any recommendations. thanks

JOSH

i am thinking perhaps the first weekend in december for this. give you a chance to get away from the christmas shopping crowds. if you married or even have a SO then this should end up cheaper.

^ i think we will take a pretty passive approach to this, as i am not a very experienced driver in the snow. didnt think many of us are, thats why it would be a trip.

ps- where ya been jdog, i havent heard anything from you for a while.

Busy with work and moving so I haven't really had a chance to check the boards. I was up at seaside on Friday night and Saturday morning and I was going to try and get a hold of you but with my sister in laws b-day and everything I just didnt' have time...that's the reason why I was there. I actually ran into a guy with a silver ralliart that said he knew you.

Either way I'm up for the trip. Saturdays are usually good for me except the first week of December since I'm taking a vacation.

Not much snow in the lower elevation. If memory serves, I think the lowest the snow level got last year in this area was like 1500 ft. Longview is somewhere around 100ft. I could be way off tho..

St Helens is a great place, it's paved roads, they are nice and wide roads.. plus the drive is very scenic. Sure it's a long drive for some people.

Perhaps we could come up with some more places to take a drive this winter.
