Did anyone go try to warranty their lifters ticks with mods? How did it go.

 

See if I give your help again ... but nah that's problem not gonna happen as well. I know the service manager so don't try it .

 

you could bleed your own lifters and it should fix it.

once I replaced my cams and bled my lifters and cleaned them...they stopped.

 

hey is there still a mitsubishi parts department here in Anchorage. If so where is it located?

 

it's at the old Saturn dealership, which is ironically across the street from where the old Mitsubishi dealership used to be.

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself to you guys. I just bought a 2010 Evo X GSR from down in CA. It just arrived here in Anchorage on Monday. Some of you might recognize me from NASIOC or AKMS. I just sold my white STi a little over a month ago and I had a white Scion tC before that.

So far it is great except it is leaking some gear oil. Hope to see some of you around!

Haha, yep, one of many! It's funny, I've heard of people coming to the dark side from subaru but not the other way around.

 

I've known many Subaru guys that went to Evos before I came up here.

The Subaru people up here are just too thick headed to accept the fact.

 

Nice upgrade raa-raa... when I saw you were selling your Sti I figured you were getting a Evo lol. I had 5 subies and now I own a 1g dsm it's not a Evo but it's a 4g63 ftw!!

 

My bro in law has 2 Talons and they are pretty sweet! I was thinking about the '11 STi, but quickly realized this was a much better choice. I liked the Evo 8 & 9s too, but I will NEVER buy a used turbo car again after my experience with the STi.

Qwik, you are right about the Subaru guys. I told some of them about my choice, and they were either shocked at my disloyalty or indifferent. I was thinking about starting a thread on AKIC to show pics of my new ride, but I'm not sure.

One other thing: What is your experience with the Mitsubishi Service Center at the old Saturn dealership? Are the technicians & service writers good and trustworthy? The gear oil in my front diff was overfilled from the factory, so I either need to take it in or fix the problem at home.

 

I have no idea about these new people.

 

Well I just got an assignment up to Elmo! So i'm dragging the evo with me up there. Just figured i'd see what it's like to drive around up there. I'm getting into town beginning of April.

 

Sweet what's his name? I can always use some more parts for my build. I love the looks of the X with some 18's with a wide stance and wingless.. it's in my pants oh wait TMI.. sorry lol.
