Alaska
meets don't usually happen in the winter.
too ******* cold and the holidays sorta kill meets in the winter. we've tried (unsuccessfully) to have Evo meets in the summer, but nobody comes out, so we all just gave up. this place sucks for car meets.

I'm up for a winter meet; Especially if it's motor sports related.
I've spent some time in Homer recently. The local lake has frozen over and I already see cars out there sliding around. I hear races will begin soon.
This would be a great venue for the Evo. Anyone interested?
PS. To the Evo X I saw in town recently:
Too bad you were either too distracted or too conceded to wave back.

most deff waved back at you if you owe a white evo and happen to see the blue one, but who knows and ill agree to an extent. I ran into a guy happens to be on here and we talked and i never knew the guy and the only reason we even talked is bcuz he is a fellow evo owner, so depends on rather or not there a baboon or a NYJ fan (patriots 45-3 4th quater) anywho
have a good one
I've pretty much given up on waving unless someone else waves first.

i know this is the wrong thread for this but i dont really have much of a choice seeing how others live in the lower 48 and i need someone here in alaska but this is it,
for the first time i got into the evo (higher rpm band) and i figured i would stop after about 110-120 seeing how the roads really suck right now, well at about 5500 rpms in 4th gear my car back-fired bogged down a little bit then came back to life but not after throwing a service engine soon code (unknown code) which brings me to ask some fellow members if they can hook my car up to a datalog though evoscan or there preferred method and help me take a look and see what code was throw and why, i would just do it my self but i do not have evoscan yet so it makes it a little bit harder for me, its my son's second christmas and im here for it and not getting blown up or shot at so i went all out and dont have the money to take it to a shop,
can anyone help me please
pm me or email blacksunset469@hotmail.com
thank you in advance

Go down to schmucks or napa and you can read the code for free. That's your best bet since doing a pull in the dead of winter isn't the safest thing. If you don't get it read, I could hook up to it and read the code for you after the holidays.
