Love the tires! FWIW, I had Starspecs before. They seem the same to me (so far!), but the comparison is a little unfair because I went with wider rims & shorter sidewall this time.

LOL... Nice to meet you too Alex. I'm usually flying around more.

Funny you should mention the exhaust... got a ticket last week for it. The cop said "you can't change your exhaust to make it louder." I asked him politely what the law said, he replied "I don't know!" So sad that person wears a badge.

It should be fun in court.

^ lol, that's funny. There is nothing in the AS codes that say you can't modifie or make changes to any thing on your car, it just says you have to pass IM within reason and if not it's parked for the winter
months, nothing that says it can't be to loud, silly cop trying to meet quota, it's sad that this is what we have as cops

I always got pulled over by cops because of my exhaust with my Wrx it was a Borla exhaust far from loud to say the least. Some cops are freaking idiots and just look to pull people over for dumb ****. I say fight it.. most likely you'll beat it.

More then likely you'll win, just do your home work on it and use whatever AS code was on the ticket as a guide and fight it

Call The Dent Dude..... guy does awesome work for a good price and comes to you so no need to go dropping your car off, etc. etc. He just did 3 small dents for me today and did a great job. 2 were from a shopping cart on the door, one of those was on a body line. 3rd was from who knows what and was on the trunk lid. Took a little less than an hour and the thing looks perfect now. Here is his number give him a call.

Has anyone ever had any luck w/ clearing code P0011? Couldn't really get a fix from search. Got it after cam install....... car runs fine though (stock ROM). Had a local shop install them. They are going back in for a timing belt change and will look as well. I'm not tuning until it's gone.

Also, anyone get into it w/ a black c4 vette lately? Friend of mine mentioned a GG in Anc.

thanks,

Buddy

Did the GG have a CF hood??

And I do believe that code will disapper with tuning, I'm not 100% sure so don't go off my word,

I meet you the other day buddy. Small world after all. But sorry if I was a little on the weird side. I just got off a 24 hour staff duty shift at 9 and it was like 145 or so lol, but it was good meeting you

Hey Matt, good meeting you and putting a face w/ the car. How are the tires?

I hope it's that ez with the code deal. The cams are greddy easy's, i like 'em (the power is there). Gonna wait and see what they say when doing the timing belt change.

Didn't say anything about a CF hood. He has a built motor in the vette. I'd try him w/ the Evo and would def. w/ the truck.

later,

Buddy

that code is for cam over advance, could be the install. If the car is running fine I suggest you make sure its not causing a mechanical problem and drive it and see if it goes away, you could have air in the mivec pump causing the issue. Service manual says ..........

Incorrect camshaft timing
Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

Based on my reading alot of ix owners have this problem and just drive the car, on some it goes away...... good luck.

Are you sure the car has never been tuned before? If any of your mivec cells were changed to read over 28.8 it could possibly cause this. Also on the mechanical side of things, the mivec trigger can be installed 180 degrees out of phase.
