I had plugs n wires done along with clutch, clutch fork shifter brushings and fixing a few loose ends. I take it to Seth at p3 because he does good work for half price of labor in Anchorage.

Sounds good we'll see if its back together by then.

During my evo trans swap adventure I discovered that when the motor was replaced under warranty they forgot 2 bolts that secure the transmission to the motor. One had broken off the threads (thankfully inside the 6spd) the other was up top and just looked like they forgot to tighten it all the way. What a bunch of yahoos....maybe the previous owner's dispute was worse than I thought...lol.

Worst case scenario it could have broken off the tabs on the block, but it didn't so I guess no problem, although there were a few 'mm of space between my block and tranny YIKES, to think I was launching that thing at 5krpm.

Clutch still had some mileage left but the flywheel was pretty cooked.

Hopefully we will finish it up tomorrow.....we shall see.

Anybody auto crossing this season? I thought this would be the summer I finally run the quarter mile , well my car with Rusty driving lol, but buying a new house stopped that dead in its tracks since I'm still running the uber slipping stock clutch, and according to the wife will continue to do so until old house is sold. Somebody help a brother out and buy my house!

My turn to barrow a tax cable. I got my car back and have tried to log in evoscan 4 times and it connects okay but as soon as i get to 5-7mph the lights on the dash stop flashing but the laptop still says connected. So does anyone have a cable i can barrow to see if maybe its just my cable??

Hit me up, I pm'd you my number, but the lights on the dash are supposed to stop flashing at about 5-7 mph, should still be logging.

5 spd swap is pretty much done but I'm stuck waiting on a new speedo sensor for the 5spd, apparently the place I got the swap parts from didn't think I needed it because my 5spd should have it, except they didn't include it so it didn't. Hopefully be done once the part gets here over the weekend.

Are you logging throttle position? VD doesn't work unless that is logged, it might be something else but post one of the log files and I'll look at it.

5spd swap and twin disc clutch is done, car drives great but I'm still waiting on the 5psd speedo gear to come in, currently has a plastic plug taped into it to keep it from leaking. Did all the motor mounts also. All in all very happy with the mods.
