3rd annual advanced driving skills class

May 5-6 2006 Drivers school

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NWAA Will be holding its 3rd annual advanced skills class May 5-6, this is a class for licensed drivers, who have not had previous racing experience.

It is aimed at saftey rather than racing, but the skills transfer. Some of our exercises include: skid pad, and emergency lane change, as well as threshold braking, hydroplane exercises, and lots of other drills. If you are a novice it will make you safer on the street and faster at the track.

This class is available basically free to licensed drivers 16-22 years of age. We charge a 15.00 registration fee, mostly to ensure that you show up if you register. Compare that to 2-3 hundred bucks at one of the big name schools

The driving portion is held at the course the Oregon State Patrol uses to teach advanced pursuit skills, so lots of room.

Class is in Astoria Oregon, and room discounts will be available when the event gets closer. Mark your calanders now

On Sunday there will be an autocross the entry fees for that are standard visit our web @ www.nwautosports.org for contact info

you can find the same type of programs with some of the car clubs. I know NWARC has the same event in the spring at Bremerton, but it is not free!
It is a good session to do in any car. Gives you an indication of what is possible at the limits in a very safe manor. Good stuf to know, in a regular car or a high performace one.

I live aboutt 5 minutes away from Bremerton. How much is it? If its like $200 like he said some where above then I'd be better off driving down to oregon lol.
