The wastegate hoses were only there until I could get my boost control issue solved. I might make it back to the drag strip if there is an EVO meet that ends there. Don't expect 11's from me. I'll be happy w/ a 12.9 at 115mph on pump .

Not too bad for not making 20psi until 5500rpm .
The GREEN line is the APEXi Turbo kit or is it the torque line of the GT3076R? I am Guessing that the Black Line is the APEXi Turbo Kit just the WHP and then the is no Torque shown? If so then wow that is nice.

I can here the wastegate opening around 17psi. Apexi told me the wastegate spring is a .8 bar, but it must be around .6. Hopefully, my new 1.4 bar spring will be entering the country soon. That should get my spool up around ~4800rpm.
Where did you get the spring from?

Also, 34PSI and under 500WHP is not that impressive so I am wondering if it was the tune or what? Those are GT3076R numbers for sure or even a 50 Trim number.

The green line is the Apex'i turbo at 20psi. The graph is showing HP over time.

I never received the spring since they stop making them.

The turbo is only rated at 550 crank HP. It makes roughly 30hp more then my GT3076 at 30psi. If I would of used uncorrected numbers, like alot of people on this forum, then my 494whp would be around 530whp

It seems to spool a LOT better then the GT3076R but then again I believe your GT30 kit was internally gated and had a caste manifold? So that may be the Issue. I would love to see how it runs with a 20PSI spring. What is the issue with the wastegate?

The GT3076 spools up to 20psi about 700rpm sooner then the RX6. Peak torque was reached at 4300rpm w/ the GT3076 and 5000rpm w/ the RX6.

I had a RnR GT3076 kit w/ a Tial 38mm wastegate.

The wastegate fell apart and was fixed by Apex'i. A 20psi spring won't help spool up w/ the way I am running boost control now. The only problem I have is I can't hold over 34 psi.

Hmmmm, that much slower in spool? Damn Maybe I should just stick with a GT35R. You also described a different way to control boost? Why won't a stiffer spring help?

Wait, does this thing spool as fast as the GT3076R now or is it still slower? According to your graphs, even with the leaky wastegate, the green line shows more power across the board until the VERY top. Would you say that this turbo is better then the 3076R?

Better is up to the user. It's a lot laggier then my GT3076R. I would like to try a smaller RX6 turbo if I can find one for under $2000 .

Maybe get a smalled hot side? Yours is too big so topend is great but lag sucks. BTW, anything lagier then a GT3076R SHOULD be a Gt35R.

Are you still running the same Turbo setup he was? If so, what are your thoughts about the Apexi kit?

Bump. Back from the dead. Anybody else running this kit? Or any updates from the new owner of jj 008's car?
