was this a easy process for you?, i always do my own work, but i used to do it on a lift and all the proper tools. since ive moved away from my former shop all i have with me are standard socket tools and the stock jack.

just seeing some opinions before i tackle this
It's not hard to do, but with the money you make and the time you don't have, why not take it to a good shop and have them do it? .... See below

It's only right you help out somebody else trying to make some money by installing TBEs, etc.....

yea of course, i have the money, but reason why i make so much is because i save it, i cant always throw it into my car, plus when i work on my car it makes me feel better, like i acomplised something. im not putting down guys that hand there keys over and get a new car the next time they see it, i just like installing everything i can and having the satisfication that i did it myself or with the help of others. plus i think i helped them out enough by spending 800+ on the TBE, less money i spend in install, more i have for mods right?

I couldn't have put it better. My sentiments exactly. Besides, if you do the install yourself, you know exactly how careful you've been. You can take your time and do a really neat job of it. The guys who do it for a living don't have the luxury (or sometimes the inclination) to be that careful/thorough/clean/neat about what they do. I've heard of people getting stuff installed and have the car back with scratches and other damages on them (like partially stripped bolts). Sure you can take the car back to the shop but if it's not plainly obvious that it's their doing, it's just a waste of time.

While it doesn't apply to the TBE, installing the parts yourself will also gain you a little knowledge of your car and where all the bits are, so it's bonus all round... unless you **** it up and break your car that is...

p.s. these donuts any good ? where are you based? I forgot to look, but i'm a fan myself... somehow donuts taste better in the US...

i have a new store opening up in medford oregon, if ur around come by, ive heard from every customer that we are the best, ours dont look the same and they dont taste the same. we are by far better then dunkin donuts and krispy kreme, because its all hand made, no machinery is used like icing machines and what not so it comes out looking and tasting the best. but dont take my word for it, come by and have some.

its called richards donuts and pastries, i should be open around feb, its located on court st

i plan to have a evo meet there one day, my familiy doesnt mind donating donuts to members that show up, would give me a chance to make new friends here, get my stores name out, and let us share stories and go have a cruise/photoshoot after. ive already talked to my dad and hes ok with it, we have a big parking lot in the back, im not sure on the specifics on how many donuts we would get, but im sure its enough to make everyone happy.

cool... I'll be around State side later this year, landing in CA. Anything good to see in Oregon? Love to try your donuts... I'll be there roughly 3 weeks just doing nothing so I might make it there. {got to Denver last time}

So why the heck do they hve a hole in the middle? Is it because otherwise they would just end up spherical and thus not stackble?

sorry for the OT everybody.... donuts always get me going...

Thai indeed. Spent a lot of time over in England but now work here, my line of work gets me to Vientman a lot (North and South). As you might expect, there's even fewer evo's here than in Oregon.

i'll give you a shout when we're there.... and demand free donuts!!!!
