The key to cartoys is knowing who to talk to. There are a some crappy installers that I've seen and TONS of ******* sales guys. Find a salesman that is good, knows his stuff and isn't a high pressure dick head. Only talk to him. If you're having a semicomplex install done, ask him who is the best installer to do the job and only ever have that one guy work on the car. Any problems, go back to either the salesman or the installer specifically. That's the only way to deal with Cartoys.

just an update...my speaker mysteriously stopped working...so i went in and told car toys. the guy took out my head unit and...get this...one of the crimped wires going to my speaker was disconnected! so, not only did they cut into my factory wiring harness without my permission, but did a ****ty crimp job besides...they are back on my **** list...never never EVER go there! they charged me for an "install kit" which obviously consists of about 9 wire crimpers...at least one of which was not installed correctly...

I worked for Car Toys for 4 years and I have to say it was one of the low points in my life. I did installs and took my time doing them, I also got alot of crap from it because "I was not making enough profit for the company" .

For anyone interested in a no bs shop that wont jerk you around in the Portland/Vancouver area please look up Audio Integrations and ask for Todd. I used to work with him and he does all the basics and he does some of the best custom work I have ever seen.

Here is the link to his site http://www.audiointegrations.net/Home.html

Why oh why would you pay someone to install a stereo in an evo. I installed mine last week and it took all of about 15 minutes. No cutting into the factory harness, just plug and play....

On the contrary, I had nothing but praise on the car toys (note: ONLY IN JANZTEN BEACH). I agree, other car toys are horrible, as I had experience with most of them. I met Brian at Car toys and I never looked back. I would not go any other car toys, however.
Like someone said, it all depends who you meet and get you set up...
For me it's working and I don't see this changing.

Jesse is a great guy, easy to talk to, capable of doing anything and not afraid to tell you he doesnt know if you stump him. He always seems to track down the answer though or knows someone that does.
