I cant tell you about some bad experiences with DynoFlash/Al. You can PM me if you want to discuss.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

I wouldn't recommend his tune.

A total of 5 IX's are running this flash in the area. All love it. Evoscan w/ wideband shows a safe tune with no knock. No dyno #'s yet however.

If you want dynoflash go for it, I'm not bashing his product.

He stated how it was that he got his results, and with what tuning methods. NOONE that I know of to date has had an issue with their car. He has addressed issues that other tuners have neglected for lack of a better term. Tell me why Evil should stray away from this flash?

Lets stray away from an argument in this thread - just let it go. If people don't want to do it then thats fine with me.

Hey if people want to drop $300 on a dynoflash then by all means spend your money!

Personally, I got a **** eating grin on my face every time when driving my bone stock IX with this flash.

Torquefreaks is STILL the ONLY place that offers a CUSTOM Evo 8/9 flash with CONFIRMED Air/Fuel on a dyno with your before/after numbers for $300 dollars on a AWD Dynojet.

Your other options are to wait for enough people to get Al over here for a $400 custom tune or go with other reflashes that are not custom made for your car and run the risk of your individual needs not being met. I still don't understand why people figure one flash fits all.

Think its JohnBradley that was doing it but I could be wrong. Anyway it will be interesting to see 2 things:

1) Before/after numbers on his tune
2) Longevity of the cars running his tune

Nuff said.

One of my biggest things with any of these flashes that don't come with any kind of either road/dyno tune.

1.) Datalog for about 30 minutes or so in varying load zones and rpms.

2.) Verify the presence or the absence of knock.

3.) Adjust map if necessary.

4.) Profit.

You may not make as much power as you could with a fully custom tune like TorqueFreaks offers, but it will be safe.

Jeff is 100% correct...

Except this was 2 full tanks of fuel spent while datalogging. This is a flash based on upgrades that they will most likely do down the road. Do they make as much power with a bonestock EVO as they could, no but they do make more than stock. Will they when the TBE and intake and MBC go on, YES!! No one that has run it has any CEL's or any problems on 92 octane.

I wont nor can I deny that TFOne has a point. This doesnt meet your individual needs 100%. But then again neither does any flash that isnt custom on a dyno. Any mail in flash has the same issues that this would. They are plagued by close enoughs and almost theres.

Keep in mind also Dynot00ning your car on indoor portland air is not anywhere near the same as Seattle mug air.

Right and this is what I mean by some type of either basic road tuning or dyno tuning.

In the "one size fit all" flash you can't verify #2 right...we can put the same maps in our cars, do approximately the same runs for #1 and my car may knock but yours doesn't. That's all I am getting at....those type of flashes either are so basic they do nothing or they are potentially dangerous.

Anyways lets await the numbers
