Cool New Gauges

One of the things that has always really bugged me on the evo is the crappy dim-orange illumination on the gauge cluster. Especially after investing in a nice set of defi BF gauges, the stock cluster just looked dismal. I've been searching for good gauge overlays for a while, but up until now everything I found was crap. I finally found a set on ebay that turned out to be good quality - comes with EL illumination and a very nice wiring harrness, and is available with ACD or without. The only thing missing is the km/h inner ring on the speedo.

stock gauge cluster:

overlay installed:

comes with a nice transformer and brightness adjuster harness, prewired to be mounted in the little stock dimmer drawer that covers the fuse box

I hooked them up to my handy IGN power distribution panel that I installed behind the glove box - it powers everything from radar detector, to defi gauges, to the new gauge overlay

and the final result - matching gauges all around .

yip - got them fom him, I was really impressed with quality of the kit. the only things to improve would be to add the km/h inner ring on the speedo, and the icon for the headlight isn't a very good match for the stock one so it's kind of dim. gauge wise I'm running, EGT. boost, fuel-P, oil-P, and oil-T. the a-pillar gauges do create a small blind spot in the field of view, but other than that I don't find them distracting at all.

sure, they come with pretty good instructions but I don't mind helping. The only things you need other than what comes with it is two small bolts & nuts to mount the dimmer, scotch tape to attach the overlays, and either a fuse tap or a vampire tap to get the power hook-up. I have vampire taps, but if you want to use a fuse tap bring your own.
