install is pretty straightforward. pull carpet back and a nice grommet right next to the exhaust tunnel. wideband connection slides up under the shifter housing plastic. egt probe was a bugger to install on this evo. had great luck on my 03 and my 98 gst, but this one was tough. doesn't look all that pretty, but it's under the hood. waiting for a part from zeitronics and I'll post pics of the gauge install. I ditched the stock stereo and made a carbon faceplate with the gauge mounted behind it. need the stock zeitronics sticker on their housing to make it complete. wiring is pretty easy. haven't checked the rpm yet, but will. HATE hacking the factory harness, but warranty was gone with cams last weekend so oh well
didn't get any other options such as boost or alarm, but thinking about the alarm for a shiftlight.
glad I had 2 days of vacation left to use before the end of the fiscal year(Jan 31) so gave me plenty of time to do these projects. snowperformance meth kit starts saturday...

oh yea... happy belated edwin..

Funny we have almost the same mods going on. Alky kit should be here any day, taking forever to ship. Waiting to get the Zeitronix and new cams till I sell my old ones.

finished the zeitronics install. came out ok. bought real carbon fiber and it doesn't quite match the plastic carbon fiber in the interior, but looks good. pics don't look like it matches real well, but it's closer than it looks.. overall, I'm happy with it. looks better than that box just stuck in the interior. relocated a new stereo to the bottom.
sorry for the crappy pics. sun is shining through a window in the garage

nope lol. I'm freaken lazy but I am currently sanding down my rims and prepping it for paint. Prepping is taking forever but the paint job is only as good as its prep. Oh and you can still get some food anytime man. lol

Everyone using the zietronix what serial to usb converter is everyone using that works? Oh yeah looks pretty sweet there but is it hard to read?
