He's not saying people are wrong for thinking he has bad grammar, but when they go out of their way to talk crap, like you're doing, after they know he's deaf that's just wrong. Well maybe I'm not able to properly dissect a paragraph's content, but I believe that what you quoted speaks more about using English words instead of writing in French, Spanish, Vietnamese, etc. Besides, if this rule were truly enforced as much as you want it to be, then half the people on the forum would be banned because they use slang; which isn't proper English either.

And you're right that Chris can defend for himself, and that I don't doubt. Even though this is the case, if you're in a bar with a bunch of your buddies and somebody starts to pick a fight with you, wouldn't you want your buddies there to back you up? Or you just want to go at it alone? I think most people choose the latter, though you might not because it wouldn't help your case at this point.

 

I have noticed that people on this forum do not like to be flipped **** at all. Perhaps you all like that mentality, PO$DSM is full of all good guys, we just like to flip **** to everyone, including each other. I mean the stuff me and airpoppoff say to each other in person would normally end friendships. I guess we like the openness that allows us to be good friends, call each other out, and make fun of each other, and have a good time.

I have nothing against haze, or evogelion. I think their mods are stupid so I make fun of them for it, and I'm used to being made fun of back. As testosterone filled car guys it would be boring for us to hold hands and love each other constantly, we like to have a good time. Spend 5 minutes with our crew and you will be laughing your *** off.

I will say that laggin3 (Ray), is an outstanding person who would help anyone in need, but he likes to flip **** to everyone.

I think it would be obviously apparent, even in your post, that if you already are friends with somebody, and you're flipping them ****, then they know your personality and they know how to take what you're saying; even on here. But if you don't know somebody, and they start flippin **** that could be taken as bashing or whatever the case may be, it will be taken that way because they don't know you. On top of that, its words on a screen, where all the other non verbal information is gone.

I know not all are asses but in general majority tend to be asses so if your one of the few that isn't than that is great but in dealing with the DSM community I not once have had one of them not think they were the coolest thing since cow **** frisbees.

I know many people that likes to act certain ways to have fun and joke around...
For me I certainly respect groups of people like you, and yes, I certainly don't get offended too much these days. There's too many different individuals that shares SO many different perspectives. You just can't agree with everybody.

Okay with that said, I certainly feel about how some individuals are getting out of line with Chris here. I don't doubt that he can't defend himself, but he has many friends that wants to help him. Having someone outside this certain circle of friends telling him that he can defend himself really is asking to be flamed to certain degree...

How about those that give Chris hard time just spare him a minimum respect and just don't say unnecessary things towrds him? Though I disagree, I respect your view. I know better that I can't change your mind. Just return us the favor, show respect to him. I'm sure you folks will need help at certain times and you'd probably want the same if the tide turn against you...I think

I fail to see how it's any more offensive to ask Chris to run his **** through words spelling & grammar checker before posting any more than it is to anyone else. There are quite a few members on POS that run all their posts through a spell/grammar check because they recognize that it's not their forte, but they want to communicate clearly and not have other people read their posts and do a "WTF?!?" I'm not nearly as inclined to help out/etc with a post that i have to decipher because it's an insult to me by wasting my time.

It's no more unreasonable to ask the same thing of someone who speaks english, spanish, ASL, german, russian, or any other language.

Honestly, Chris doesn't get flamed nearly as badly as the native-english speakers on POS who can't use proper spelling and grammar

And while it's "unpopular" to bring it up, laggin3 does have a point. If the moderators want to be **** about the rules (and they are about most, which is fine, that's their prerogative), then they need to be honest about it and enforce them all equally. If they decide that a rule is unpopular or unecessary as is implied in this thread, then it should be discarded.
