EvoRS06 is a great tuner and i hope to be tuned by him and helped through the build process by him.
Motor will be built and im looking for some input on IDEAS!!

No one said it was ****ed up, or bad mouthing a tuner. All we were doing was giving you simple advice for diagnosis of the issue, logging is the best way to see what your car is doing because you're reading the internal data that the ecu receives and go by there as a starting point. Most of the northwest tuners that have been with us for a long time have developed a reputation and in simple suggestion recommended them as a highly familiar tuner to view the characters of what you were experiencing. All is well in what you say, you are entitled to your opinion as it is always personal preference in who you work with, I am sure many can agree with me that none many are familiar with evors06, but in time I'm sure we'll get to learn a lot more, so I'm happy in the fact that you got your problem diagnosed, we are only here to help you not to bash an evo member or tuners in any way

Not all the time can we simply point out the problem over the internet as we cannot physically be there to help you in your issue, but you know your car, we can only make suggestions

I hope none offense is taken and do apology if so

I had a set of JE pistons and Oliver rods that were great for my car when I was daily driving it. The setup provided low consumption and I enjoyed it.....solid products.

A missed shift at WOT from 4th to 3rd, instead of 5th, took care of that build.
This was a clear case of driver error.

I now have an AMS crower/ross build that has provided a more solid build IMHO. However, it does provide for a higher consumption condition than the prior setup I had.

IMHO.....JE/eagle etc is fine for a daily and unless you are going to run 35psi/meth plus you don't need the AMS/Ross setup.

Both motors were 2.0s as I prefer the revs....I know a builder with solid 4G63 experience if you need one.

Sorry to hear about your motor.............but, now you have an excuse to go big!

HKSevoIX, when you came and got tuned by anthony, i was tuning before that, i just wasn't charging, all anthony was doing was adjusting a couple of areas of a jestr e-flash. but anyways your correct in that no matter what the rest of the evom forum might be doing, we def. need to keep the NW forum a place where people can feel free to ask questions without the fear of being bashed.

If it is a spun bearing they seem to be common in 7 bolt motors 93dsm-IX EVO's. If you type in spun bearing on here you will find at least 1 EVO pre month. I can't say why they do it. I would say in the last 8 years of doing DSM and now EVOs I have seen on avg of 3-6 spun bearins on 7bolts per year. Alot of them are stock for the most part.

If you do have a spun bearing the crank and rod are no good. Not a good idea at all to turn our cranks. Doing a 2.3 is a good option. Most of the time a 2.1 is a 2.0 crank in a 2.4 block.

Thanks for clearing up the facts, I'm glad that we have many options and resources around the nw to fulfill our evo needs
