Any Evo IX should be in 4th. The 5 speeds are 1.096 (basically the same as the MR) the only difference being the 1.031 of the VIII. Even then the car should still be loaded up in 4th to get the most accurate feeling/reading of whats going on.

You are deploying?

I need to start doing 2nd gear logs. 4th gear ones got me in a little too much trouble with the popo. Now I have to figure out how to get tuned without doing 100+ MPH...John you got any ideas

evoRS06 is who tuned my car to my Mustang 500 awd dyno numbers (344awhp and 358awtq) on pump gas and stock turbo. He helped me put my "30,000 dollar car" down the quarter mile in the 11s. His expierence on MY personal car dates back over a year ago when he found I did not have a flash when running 12.50@108. I heard he has been progressing more and more and would love to see him pump more out of my car but understand he is more busy now.

Hopefully that can add more assurance inneedof

We need to go rent some dyno time. Maybe you, me, and Abohleens (sic). We can discuss this later.

Evo8you2007, I think some of this is the fact that there were cars doing this last year (aug 2006) without a "learning curve" or need to progress. I am not getting involved in the "Can he punch keys" conversation or "can he make 3xx whp on a Mustang" conversation.

There are only so many combinations to make power, but the log is the ultimate truth...that or the drag strip. I can think of 4 evos that run 11.98 on pump at 114+ with stock cams and stock turbos and at least one that runs 11.67 @ 116 on pump stock turbo and S1's (a IX). That one was driven by a road race guy that admitted he didnt have the feel for the launch.

I apologise for interupting the flow of this thread.

I'm down for whatever as long as I get a good solid tune. Just waiting for Derek to get his parts in so we can get tuned together. What is (sic) mean?

(sic) means spelled incorrectly. In otherwords it was intentional but I realised that I was making a mistake. Jon you would be more than welcome.

Andrew def knows what he's doing. I've seen with my own two eyes what he is capable of. I would not put him in the same class as Jestr, Ivey, etc. just yet, but he'll be getting there pretty soon.
