coilovers
^^Exactly...hopefully we can get some people together by this summer or something for him to come up again. I definately want some of his Clubsports or atleast the Street KW's.
Well mainly it's not the soft springs I was referring too but mostly the front and rear spring rates. I have seen many times where sticking most off the shelf coilovers that are stiffer springs in front and softer in back just make the evo plow and understeer quite a bit. There is definately a reason why the stock evo has stiffer in the rear (and it still understeers to some extent). It can be fixed by sticking an uber stiff swaybar on the back but sometimes that just hides handling woes. I agree with you though that most people on here don't have enough driving experience to ever tell or be able to tell the difference. I just believe if you do it right the first time it will help you learn quicker. Everyone drives differently and like stiffer or softer springrates. I prefer medium springrates with supurb damping characteristics. Robi will tell you some of the fastest cars around dont run stiffer than 9k springs.
I figure that I'll never have a car that fast or be that good to ever need more
. Its his suspension settings I run on my car.But even so part of my point is be honest with yourself and buy according to your skills. If you have a car that has parts on it that are way above your skills that is not going to end well.
See if its hiding in this thread somewhere:

How well do the Stance coilovers do under winter conditions? Was reading about the Pic/Pure TSO's and it has some weatherproofing, plus they did some 240 hr salt spray test on them and no fading what so ever.
I know this can stir up a whole hornets nest. But my opinion which take it leave it is that they are get what you pay for. They can work well if you set them up right. Their valving is not ideal, spring rates mediocre for evo's, and the reliability of them isn't that great. They clunk, bolts loosen, and they just aren't that durable. But then again for $800 they are quite good. I myself for $800 wouldn't go that route. For $300 more you could have a coilover that is much much better.
