I didn't. I decided a street bike would just be to uncomfortable being 6'5" 315lbs.

Looking to get a harley after I am done with school.

IMO you made a good move Jake. When it comes to crotch-rockets, I've seen and heard only bad things. Any no, it wasn't only people doing stupid things.

Well, I could actually say a lot of good things about sportbikes but... I am really against the idea of 600cc or 750cc as starter bikes. A lot of people make those suggestion by looking back after having long time riding experience. But that's like suggesting a new driver to start out on a Corvette as a first car.

he'll be fine starting on off a 600, i've had numerous friends ride 600 to start off with. just depends on person and how much patience and respect he/she has for the bike. i started on a 250, then 600, then 1k. grew out of the 600 in about a month. but this was a couple years ago when 600's weren't as fast as they are today. i'm can't wait till summer so i can pick me up a bike

Get a dirt bike , you can use your evo for DD and the dirt bike for fun. I know that isn't what you want but i'm telling you that's what you're going to do... or else.
