When i bought my IX MR it had already been modded. I have three LED's on the dash, a blue one for my alarm, a yellow one and a green one. I haven't been able to figure out what the green and yellow ones are for.

On Sunday I found out that under full boost the green and yellow LED's light up. I have never noticed this before and now i'm trying to find out what they could be. Any idea's? Something to look for that might point me in the right direction?

 

Meth kit fail safe?

 

There may be no meth kit, but the failsafe may still be installed.

 

I would have to agree with xturdfergusonx. I think its a meth fail safe. The person that had the car before you could have taken the meth out and left the fail safe behind. when the lights come on does your car drop into a low boost setting of maybe 12lbs?

Do you see any place in the trunk where it looks like ameth kit would have been located? I know of a few other NW cars that have a 3 led fail safe on there car.

 

Why not track the last owner down, he will know better than we will.

 

There was no drop in boost when the lights came on. All that is in the trunk is the fill bottle for the washers on the passenger side behind the panel.

I would like to find the original owner but i bought it from a dealer and they weren't to excited about giving out the previous owners info. Is there something else that i can look for that would point to a meth kit?

where did you buy the car from?? perhaps that person was or has been on here..

id say its a meth kit fail safe as well....did ur car come with stock intercooler pipes or aftermarket ones??? if its the stockers, it's safe to say they had the nozzle in the aftermarket pipe, and when they traded it in, put the stock ones back on

 

look in Trunk if there u have Bottle look like windsheild washer bottle but it for meth kits.. and LED color familar same SNOW performance or AEM...

look ur UCIP there a hole for METH injector into Intake manifold

 

if there was a hole, he'd have a leak

 

Isn't this what everyone else just said? He stated there was no tank in the trunk.

I just say if there ucip have hole... cover with bolt or adapted top. it mean meth kit.. my fujita intake I bought used. have meth hole kit.
