clutch install help??

Anyone want to help a brother install a clutch this summer? I've done one on my eclipse, but I had the motor out. I'm debating on building the evo motor myself this summer, or just doing the head and and clutch.

Let me know if anyone is game for a little help and even some expertise. I will supply endless beer during the operation...as long as we get it done right..lol

No sense in paying 5-600 for something that would take a day at most to do.

Rob

Screw doing it with out a life. It is not fun what so ever. I can do a dsm flat back in a few hours, but an evo flat back is a different story

doing it is not bad... but if you can affort the 468 corona, I would just do that with English Racing... lift or no lift, its not the best thing to do yourself. I know, I did mine twice.

It would take you longer if you have not done it before... after two clutch changes, it will still take me 10 hours, then again, I like to take my time and have everything clean.

Illtech was quoting me something insane for the install and the clutch. So I figure I was going to do it myself. I'm not really a tranger to things of this sort. Based on how much cash I have in a few months when I do it, I might end up pulling the motor and building it at the same time. Guess I will start searching piston/rod combos.

i though ill tech was doing like a 500 or 600 install special even with your own clutch. Still pricy but better than a stiff back haha. I will prob need one in the X eventually (not too soon i hope) but i heard an x is even harder to do yourself.

thats how much labor it costs to do a full clutch job on a 06 evo including flywheel replacement. At least thats what i looked up at the dealership i work at. They charge $115hr so i saved myself about $1100! lol dealers are so overpriced!
