Tint?
Unless things have changed, you can have it darker than 35% behind the driver in WA. I have 20% all-around and I think it is good for being dark but also being able to see at night. See link for an idea of what it looks like (crappy pic, though).
I've gotten all my vehicles tinted illegally and been pulled over many-a-time for other offenses with not so much as a comment on my tint. The darkest I went was 5% all-around, over factory smoke in the back. It was so dark you could barely see the dome light on when outside the vehicle. I did almost merge into someone on 405 at night, though...

^Damn, so that is the only infraction even?! I suppose he pulled you over for one of them ricer wings and exhaust but then realized he didn't have anything on you.
Is that considered a moving violation (guessing not) or just a straight fine? If removed can you get the fine dropped? I don't think I even know anyone in the NW that didn't get away with more than a warning, so I'm really curious.

im not sure what i got cuz when i bought the car it was already done but when i got pulled over by the state patrol the put a little box over my window and told me it was 12 but its really not that dark he told me legal was 30% and gave me a warning
