Ouch. Yeah, I'm saving whatever I have left on my clutch for the drive down to English.

Its still driveable, just that its slipping. I've been borrowing cars from my whole family for this whole week.

Wait, you have a Evo X and your clutch is going bad already?

Wow, how many miles?

Note to Self: Nissan Sentras suck *****.

LOL @ that Nissan Sentra! I'm glad you got into Shane's car, plus the rolling shots were great!

I've got a cookie for you, btw. Unfortunately it is one of those "biter" cookies for infants...half chewed. Yummy!

--Well, sure you have enought folks focused on the clutch, however is you still have a leaking clutch slave--change it while your in there--that problem isnt going to go away and it will leave you stranded with a non slipping new clutch! BTW, take your foot off the clutch while your sitting at stop lighhts and that cyliner will last a lot longer.

hey guys,

first of all. thank you for sharing your thoughts! you all know who you are!

hahaha

- when i took home the evo, the first thing i did to it was take it to a knowledgable mechanic. he did tell me that the clutch will have to be replaced by winter or spring. so, that was my warning. the timing just came a season earlier.

- then, just recently, i had the slave cylinder and hardlines looked at and repaired as my pedal is flat to the floor. they made a quicky fix and bleed - pressure was back on the pedal. also, the mechanic told me that the evo needs a clutch replacement soon because tandadadaan: it was slipping.

- such a noobie of me i didnt know what slipping meant until i met most of you guys at FD! so since then, ive been trying my best to like a grandma. i didnt even drive the evo for almost the second half of august because i knew i had to save the last of it.

- last friday, i tooke the evo out to make sure its ready for the deception pass (i told myself i wasnt going to miss that!) buddy of mine was with me while driving the evo and he noticed that the evo was acting weird. he even thought i wasnt driving properly. this is because the clutch was slipping soo bad!

- i decided to take dropping's advice - take a video of it (my youtube video)

- now here we are....

enough the rant as im of work! hahaha so for now, i found a place locally who works on evo x's as their specialty. im just waiting on a quote for exedy stage 1 clutch kit. i am going for this route because me and john and i are in the same boat. i dont really plan to heavily modify our evo. just simple bolt ons because my gf drives it too.

so yeah. again, thanks guys for the help so far. EVOM FTW!

^ Cool..... Well, if the place near you quotes you higher than $500.00, order from EAT Motorsports and have them ship it to you. =)

Get an AEM Tru Boost and have setting "B" for your gf and set it to low boost. That is what I usually do to my wife. haha

haha funny thats what i call her.. B short for baby. anywayyyy is that an electronic boost control? mbc is good enough, she might wonder where did all the boost go hahaha shes a very safe/well behave driver. so i trust her!

PS: actually, if you think about it, an AEM boost gauge is about 200 bucks, add in an MBC (say perrin for 80 bucks) thats close to 300 bucks for the AEM tru boost guage. hmmm i should give it some thought! thanks yahu for the idea!

If you get an MBC, might I suggest Hallman MBCs?

Back when I had a Meth Kit, I was pushing about 30 PSI, and that damn thing held pressure. Pretty well made too. Go look into it. =)

No problem, Josel. BTW - if Freddie recommends a shop I would tend to trust it. Personally I would go to ER but I know that is a major trek for you. Good luck!
