the new clutch is in guys.

i went for the exedy stage one hd+resurfaced flywheel.

i picked up the car yesterday from the shop. first thing i noticed was the pedal pressure. its intense! it feels like a totally different car. the stop and go launches is harder that what it used to be. i can also feel the pedal sort of vibrating while at stall.

i know that is still need to get past the break in period. what will change after this?

the shop showed me the old clutch kit. he said its definitely aftermarket and i changed it right in time!

any thoughts?

bump!

Haha. I'm finally starting to get used to mine. But I definitely felt like a tard when I first started driving it and looking like I didn't know how to drive a stick shift. It was embarrassing.

belly yours shoud harder to drive because you went for the stage 2!

is your clutch pedal vibrating too at stall? how far are you from break in period?

just to put it out there. my slave cylinder is leaking from the capsule nipple (not sure what exactly you call that thing) - it needs to be replaced.

^you said it - neutral. With your foot on the pedal. BTW - I wouldn't make a habit of resting your foot on the clutch pedal (I'm not sure if that is what you are doing, or just feeling it out with the new clutch installed).

^why is foot resting on the pedal bad? im not putting any pressure on it though. im just covering the pedal with my left foot - just before i put it in gear.

if your foot is resting on the clutch pedal it could be slightly pushing on the clutch fork -> pushing on the throw out bearing = riding on clutch = possible early failure of clutch.

I call that clutch rider
