i suggest you do some maintenance on the evo right away.
do you know if the evo was modded at all before the delearship took it in their hands? i ask because its possible that it had some bolt ons before and the previous owner put it back to stock. if it had bolt ons, possibility is that the ECU has been modded too.

From what I've seen on the car, it was un-modded. I work with a guy who had a built block 35R Evo 8 making 500-550 to the wheels, he built it himself and self tuned it, so I talked him into looking it over, he saw nothing out of the ordinary. The only mod it may have and probably did have was an intake, but until I get it on stands to do fluid change I wont know for certain.

I hate to be the bad news bear but you got royally shafted. $25k for a car that has been most likely stolen or parted out half the IX parts = no good. Did you check the vin at all on this car? Just seems real fishy to have all those 8 parts on it.
