Dealership service in WA state
It's a Mitsubishi thing. They seem to frown on intakes and especially no cat. They will go as far as calling you out for not having all your maintenance records. Had it happen to me...not at Korum though.
My warranty almost got flagged for a turboback exhaust and I had a HFC at the time. Try to take as much off as you can because if it requires more than about $500 worth of work their inspectors get involved, your car will get red flagged, and you will be **** out of luck. Mitsu is a nightware to deal with. Luckily Korum is pretty nice to me, Luis and Jason are great techs. They even call me every now and then to see how the car is doing. They are nice people, just be careful of the service manager.

There gonna have your car in the air so they will see it. I know Luis or Jason don't care but their tech inspectors are a-holes and soon as they see aftermarket or no cat they immediately call foul. They did it too me, only takes once then you are screwed out of a warranty (as if it really matters). Some stuff it don't matter but major work they start looking closer at what parts you have.
well for you fella's that dont have warranties any more...i work at the firestone in kent i can pretty much service all your needs, we have a great crew thats capable of doing anything. |So if anyone interested lmk
*edit - nevermind, IIRC, you got your evo recently. I'm assuming those mods came with it?

^I'll do it for $800 (what the dealer will charge)
I mis-read your post; the 60k includes replacing the timing belt, so it will be over $1000 at the dealer.
See this for info on what to do for your 60k. There really isn't much to do that is difficult, except for the timing belt. You could go to west werks in Redmond and I know there are other locations in the general area. EAT in Kirkland might also do this service, and even Park Place motors is cheaper than the dealer (and they usually include a detail of some sort).

"Service manager is an ***, just make sure you come there prepared and know what you are talking about or he will try to get the upper hand. Once you bring him back to reality he will become pretty cooperative
"
+1 Agreed. After I purchased my car used I took it to Korum Mit. to get it checked out and they told me bogus stuff such as saying that the previous person bottomed out the car and that I was missing a piece on my rear bumper. Well its hard to say if someone actually did bottom out the car but what they thought was missing on the rear bumper was actually the clips for the aero kit.
Later when my car was still brand new (to me) my dad and I thought the alternator sounded funny. Well the people there were less than helpful in checking the problem out and when the service manager got involved all hell broke out. He was rude and just crude for being someone who works in customer service and should be trying to make the situation better. Regardless I decided to just drop the issue and hope that my pre-owned car was fine.
My experience at the Korum Mitsubishi left a bad taste in my mouth and is one of the reasons I do the maintenance myself and another reason why I will think twice before purchasing my next Lancer from Korum.

i dunno, i purchased my EVO IX MR used then took it straight over to Korum Mitsu for some warranty work.
It was in stock form...but they still had to have the car inspected. After that (and saying i work for Honda) everything was smooth. Got a new idler pulley (for a strange noise) and New MAF sensor, and HVAC replaced with a new one (sticking control knobs).
I WILL be taking it back for my last round of warranty work (Luis worked on it last time)...as my passenger window doesnt roll up straight anymore, and the p/s pump (the noise from before) is pretty noisey!
Korum is decent enough to deal with. having the cars we do...i think we just have to accept that we're going to have to jump through a couple hoops in order to get help. Im ok with that.... i see it at our Honda dealership when people bring in S2000s and Si...or any modded car for that matter.

thanks for the input guys!
I have the stock airbox and UICP but didnt want to return it to stock just to have a dealership look at the acd..... Last time I owned a DSM I dealt with the bellevue and seattle dealerships and didnt have any problems..... of course they are CH7 now.
Timing on this really sucks as I want to get these items serviced prior to a big install day, which has to be done before taking it down to English for a 4-bar map sensor and tune...

If I were you I would do the little things myself and then maybe take it somewhere for the timing belt. Looking at the write-up, it is not for the faint of heart, but I haven't gotten to that on the Evo yet.
low pressure - check
high pressure - check
fuse - check
compressor on/off- check
oh hey the compressor isn't kicking on - wink wink wink wink - maybe it's an electrical problem
this took my dad and i about 10mins to realize after looking around then said the hell with it since it's under warranty and having no schematics. after the 3 days of "trouble shooting" they wanted 30 dollars a pop for each relay which i finagled with them for a couple of hours to drop the charges because why weren't they installed from the factory?!!! then they wanted 800 dollars for shop time and troubleshooting hours - i was like wtf?? seriously? for warranty work?
