Power steering problem

Driving my car today & noticed power steering didnt feel right. Popped the hood to check fluid, was almost empty. Looked under the car and it was leaking like a siv. Now I got to take it to the dealer so they can fix it. I hate having someone else work on my car. Myself being an automotive tech for a living probably makes me a real a** hole to have as a customer. This sucks. I hope it goes well at the dealer.

Let me tell you how it went, Took car in for simple power steering leak. Under side of car covered with power steering fluid, lost most of the fluid in my resivor. The tech took in and cleaned up the fluid & said its not leaking any more. He didnt do anything to it. I was told I could come pick it up. Made no sense but I went down and picked it up. By the time I did a 10 mile drive back to work I had a big mess under my car again. Looked at the car my self, found that it was leaking from the Banjo bolt on the high pressue line. Took me around ten minutes to figure out. Called the dealer and told them what I found. They sent someone to pick up my car. Call me back & said they were going to replace the high pressure line. Now I wont have my car back tell middle of next week. I think they could have just replaced the banjo bolt washers and sent me on my way. What a pain in the a$$. Are thier any good dealers around that I can trust? This sucks.

No.

My experience with 3 of the 4 dealerships in the area has been disappointing every time. The techs don't know these cars well, so if they didn't read it out of a TSB they really don't know, it's pretty sad.

I blame Mitsu and their war against modified cars. They found they can void warranties easier than troubleshoot/diagnose real problems, so most owners go elsewhere for quality work. (ER for example)
