This is crazy

The part with the working steam engine and wrench will blow your mind.

I hope this isn't a repost.

it literally hurts my head to think that it made a working wrench. There's no way the computer could figure out the mechanical parts of it. They must have programed that stuff in there. The part where it talks about stuff that you soak it in to make certain parts of it melt is crazy too.

we have those at my work We made useless plastic engines that sit on our management's desk. lol. Although it's great for prototyping new engine parts, brackets, flanges, etc.

That is crazy though, dude I have all the respect for Leno, he is a straight pimp.
Not only is he crazy into cars, but he has so many and he knows everything about them, it's just like, man, I gotta give it up to you.

Plus I met him in Cali when I lived in there, total BA. Hella, cool, just hung out and BS'd with people on the street.

I work with this stuff every day of my life. Rapid prototyping has been out for 10-15 years. metal rapid prototyping is really cool.

We tried metal deposition on pistons to change piston bowl geometry... not so much fun.

You have any pictures of the place you work or recent projects newimportowner? Pics are always cool

this is pretty nuts.
I didn't understand why it was impossible until it was done. I feel like the machine that uses powder instead of these layers of plastic is much faster.
