Raspy Eclipse
Is this a 420a engine?
I have owned 2 of these cars and regardless if its a new throwout bearing or not. Now depending on if its greased to much or to little it will make this noise. If it goes away when you push the clutch in, then its your throwout bearing.
and yes sell it and buy an evo

ROFL!
and yes it's the 420a. but like some of these guys were saying, it could be the throwout bearing, but it's weird that it heats up and the noise goes away. LAST TIME when it was the throwout bearing, it would do it alllll the time though. even when it was heated up it would still be making this noise. it's just weird that now it does this noise, but it goes away after it's heated. :/ bahhh...
oh and yes, i will be buying an evo asap! after i get a job that is.
haha, and hopefully that's sooner than later. i have a plan on how i'm going to get an evo faster than i'll expect to.........

I hated working on the 420a's. You almost have to pull the motor for everything. I went from owning a 420a to a 4g63 1g eclipse, I love it, I still own it. I now own a evo and I almost want to sell the 1g now, the differece between the evo is just amazing. The 1g is just classic, like sporting around in an old muscle car feeling.
and yeah, i like the look of the 2g eclipses alot, it just sucks mine has this super crappy motor haha. i can't wait to get an evo though, it's depressing not having one yet lol
