10k miles updates er built 2.4l
I always try to get Aaron to join me at the Acrop, on me. Alas, Aaron is always too busy to take the time. A little bit of the Glen is waiting for our next visit, and a new spiced rum I found in Montana for Lucas! See you guys soon!
Not to thread Jack but heres one for ya about how a Lucas built motor is.
I met Lucas about 4 years ago when the shop was in the garage at his house. He was mainly doing jdm swaps for customers but I kept asking him to rebuild a motor for me. We decided to rebuild my 6 bolt 4g63 (90 Eagle Talon) with stock internals because I wanted a 300awhp daily driver. So it was on. I made 330awhp range on a EIII 16g for about 2 years of daily driving(about 25k miles). I finally decided it needed more power. I swapped out a bunch of parts and am now sitting around 475awhp for the last two years all on a stock internal 6 bolt motor. This motor has seen 2 bad mis shifts and a oil filter that backed out while on the drift office dyno during a Evo dyno day (had to be the first car on the rollers for every one to watch). As of right now I can go start the car up and it runs great.
In short Lucas built me one hell of a tough motor in his garage 4 years ago and it is still going strong with about 40k miles on it.
Thanks to Lucas for putting up with me all these years and thanks to all the other ER guys who have at one point in time turned a wrench on my car. Hopefully next year it will see a new short block from ER and finally put a 700+ pull down on the dyno.
