Pacific GP Lapping Days
Agree, it was very fun. Nice to meet bradze, spool4fun, and autoxer_minh and others whose names/handles I can't recalll.
I learned lot about my car, I did unspeakable things to it that I wouldn't dare do on the big track!
After I had my fill, I got a fun ride in bradze's X. I've never even sat in a X, and was impressed; the AYC lets a lot of yaw develop for good rotation and the SST was always in the correct gear.
The tight, twisty track is brutal on car & driver. I think it is very complimentary to driving the big tracks, it helps develop better car control skills more quickly. I agree that 1/2 day is enough!

Who was in the silver IX hitting the rev limiter on the short back straight? Sounded ugly, very ugly haha.
And god damn that external wastegate on that domtuned sti wagon was HAWTTTTTTT!!!
Didn't get to say hi to any of you guys, only stayed for a little bit then left for work.

As long as it's not raining, I'm planning on doing more of these. I hope to see more Evos out there, it really is a great experience. I would recommend only doing a half day, especially if it's a particularly warm/hot day. Here are some things I learned from last time.
The course is brutal on brakes. If your brake pads are looking thin, I'd get a new set before doing this. Bring a fan or leaf blower to help cool down the brakes after you pull off course and park the car.
Bring a lawn chemical spray tank filled with water to spray down the intercooler, radiator, oil cooler in between sessions to help cool things down. I would NOT spray water on the brakes! That could crack rotors or other extremely hot brake parts due to the rapid cooling.
I was hitting mid 70s on the front straight and 60s on the back straight. I was shifting up around 6500rpm to avoid the rev limiter. I thought the time it takes to shift was worth the extra top speed on the back straight.
