Hey thanks guys, I am checking out cars.com

Fastlearner, thanks for the advice, it definitely sound's like more of a hassle than its worth.

I found an 06 for 20,000. It has 53,000 miles. Has anyone ever seen this car around, or know anything about it? Maybe the owner is even on here. (It's in Issaquah)

^the owner used to be on here but I haven't seen a post from him in awhile. He's been trying to sell that car for a while now. I've never met him in person, fwiw.

unfortunately no. You could try to do a local forum search for "keg" (seriously) and see what you find.

Thanks man, I found him in the XXX meet thread.... I did some spying and the only "troublesome" post he had was something about the fuel pump going out... Only other thing is he kinda seems like the type that beats the **** out of a car(and he has horrible spelling, lol).. Other than that no other posts about any other issues with the car

I'm still interested but I think I'd want to get a compression and leakdown test done on it... it does only have 53k miles....What do you guy's think?

Also in his list of mods he has "softwear". Does anyone know what he's talking about?

Are you talking about this one? http://kpr.craigslist.org/cto/1667165923.html

Majorly overpriced.
I think I met this guy last summer(or atleast the person who owned the car at the time) and he did not know anything really about the car. If it is the same guy, he overpaid for the car and is probably so upside down on the car it is not even funny. It came from a local car lot here in the tri-cities.

EDIT: Yeah it is the same car. LOL He tried to race my wife. Look on his and his buddies face was priceless when the wife let him lead off then she pulled past him.

No man, it's not a typo. On the topic of the 2010 evo, they changed the motor. It's not the same motor. They went to an ugly body style and the seats are beyond uncomfortable.
To each their own. Keeps my car more unique than the rest of them. If you think the seats are uncomfortable then I really wonder if you have ever been in a X. The car is so much more refined than a VIII or a IX.

I saw a post you made on the dsm site months ago about moving over here. I just sold my dsm a few weeks ago.

If you are going to considering upping your price point, you should consider this car:

Thats a little high still, if I was going to raise my price limit it can't be any higher than 20k

I have had the X for just about one year. I have really enjoyed it. There is a few of us around here but most that I have run into don't know anything about the car they own.

I would really look into finding a 8 or 9 in the seattle or portland area as this area is too over priced on them. I paid less for my X brand new than most of the evo's go for around here used and abused.

Nice.. Yeah I know what you mean about people that know nothing about their car.... I'll be spending some time on here like I did the dsm forums though.. Yeah I plan on going to Seattle or Portland. I'm seriously considering that one I posted a few posts up.

Nofear,

Go to autotrader.com and do a search for '03 to '06 Lancers. Quite a few EVOs on there. Granted I said within 200 miles, but when I found mine, I had to travel down to Salem, OR. The trip can be well worth it.
