Turbo-back means everything behind the turbo, so downpipe, cat/test pipe, straight pipe, muffler. Cat-back means everything behind the cat, so a pipe and muffler.

Sounds like you need a cat-back, as your test pipe is fine? If they'll pay for a TBE, then let them!

BTW - congrats on sounding like you're getting taken care of.

Josel what did I tell you about using those canadian acronyms?? what is ftmfw

Well I am pretty sure my test pipe is fine, they are giving me 1k regardless, shoul I just use my current test pipe and only get a cat back if everything is ok? savnig me some money yo!

yeah things seem to be going pretty good... going to whistler sunday with some friends its a shame I cant push the evo up the sky highway tho...

also, I like the sound of the nvida n1, or at least how it sounds on youtube... any thoughts about that one?
Who should I order my kit from? ... few people are selling used exhausts for cheap but I am cautious and always worried it will be messsed up.

Also.... just realized that if I get a new exhaust system my AFR gauge will need to be re done, Ill call bel kirk and ask if they can do that, and make sure I have insurance pay for the labor on that.

can I just reuse my same AFR gauge? or is it once its welded in its done

Is getting a new exhaust going to require a tune?

ftmfw == For The Muh Fuggin' Win! No Maple Leaf up in thurrrr.

If the test pipe is 3" and undamaged, stick with it! new exhaust doesn't require a tune, but you'd get the most of it with the tune. AFR can be fixed with the tune (one of the other reasons to get a tune).

I think most exhausts fit JDM, but might need to be cut/welded to shorten up.

hahaha ftmfw aint canadian yo. cool americans use it too!

i heard greddy tic fits both usdm and jdm bumpers. i have the exhaust fitment on jdm bumper thread handy. ill post it here and u can use it as a reference.... here it is!

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...nt-thread.html

you wont have to spend 1k for a catback. there are lots out there for less. i would look into greddy (as ive said before), tanabe, hks, BR, ams, etc, the list goes on brother. spend the other few bills on something else.

pretty sure I am going to order the jdm bumper/crashbeam as soon as driveline confirms the black is a color match to my evo..
The black we carry is the black painted by Mitsubishi Motors of Japan. So far, with over 1000 of these bumpers sold by us, we have never seen a report of an incorrect color match.

It'll be between 50 and 90 bucks, shop dependent.

I vote for ETS 3.5" cat-back. That's what I'm getting next, when I tire of my Greddy TIC.

Ill listen to the ETS now,

Talked to the estimator, he also noted that my back fenders had a tiny dent or were caved in a tiny bit ... i didnt notice this at the shop and he is saying it will be 3 hours shop time.

Bringing the grand total to4800 bucks. He will cut me a check Ill order my parts then pay the shop.

I am going to whistler for some partying sunday hopefully I can figure out what exhaust to get by then, bel kirk said they work with a muffler shop, perhaps Ill contact them and see about getting it shortened.
