Think of it like this Lucas, I remember seeing the black Tsi sitting off to the side of the house and my talon in the garage being worked on with jack stands. You have come a long way in the past few years. At the time I could not believe I was letting someone build my motor in the garage and paying money for it. That motor you built for me took so many beetings and can you believe is still running today (knock on wood). Thanks for not only being a person I could get to work on my car but thanks for treating me like a friend in the process.

Honestly, this is one of the parts about ER that I dig the most. On the few occasions that I've talked with Lucas and Aaron in person, they DO treat you like a friend of many years.

+1,000 there... I haven't spent very much money at all at ER, but talking with Luke or Aaron it doesn't seem their #1 priority. That goes a LONG way with me...

Also, +1 on the new VM/2nd line feature. Of the non Evom Evo drivers I've spoken with and suggested ER, I usually get the same response... "I tried calling them, hard to get ahold of, etc, etc etc" I just reassure them it's worth the time and trouble to get ahold of you guys.

Next up should be an ER-to-go service. That way when your shift linkage gives out 300 miles from home and your stuck in 5th gear and your clutch makes smells only a dirty bum could describe they could come swap in a twin disk real quick

If you only knew the way Lucas and I got my dsm to the shop one time. Of course the dsm made it to Biggs before it started having problems (T3/T4 Tubular manifold makes the alternator very unhappy). Needless to say the alternator took a crap and we used the jump box to supply enough power to get the car to the shop.

Hey you gotta do what you gotta do to get home. Hell the amount of laws I had to break to get home was not pretty...luckily is was late but when you are stuck in 5th you can't exactly "stop" at a stoplight or stop sign. Make that almost 10miles from the place you are staying and that is more than a few California stops

Now if I could just figure out why my battery all of a sudden decided to take a dump after replacing my linkage. Need ER instant messaging service for tech support

Trust me its bad enough as it is. The list from this week so far of the ER free tech hotline-

Him-"I own a 95 GTR and am bleeding the ATTESSA. What fluid is supposed to go into that?"

Me-"I have only owned a 300ZX but those are ATF"

Him-"Well it calls for Dextron III"

Me-"Thats the same"

Him-"are you sure?"

Next

Him-"I want to convert an Evo to RWD, how hard is that and how much will it cost?"

Me-"If you have to ask you dont want to attempt it. After cutting the car up and fabbing everything probably around 30k"

Him-"30k?!!? I built my S13 for 3k"

Me-"Totally not the same, and if you built one build this. It didnt work for Cosworth USA and they abandoned the project. The Yukes car is not really an Evo anymore other than shell."

Click

Trust me, IM would be WAY WORSE.

True...well maybe charge for the service . $1 a minute and you guys could retire by next year.

OT but at the last PGP drift event I went too there was a GC8 2.5RS that was converted to RWD with a V20 big turbo yadda yadda. Fab work on that car was pretty impressive.

Subaru's are different since the Mazda transmisson is a common enough swap . The other option is welding the centerdiff in those and making it last is also easy. The only drive for the Evo is the transfer case gear and we know that the ring and pinion fails with AWD as it is.

$1 a minute sounds good, paid 0.50 to me for my hair loss.

Hahaha, I think I remember you telling some people a similar story at one of the drift office dyno days. You shouldn't have to deal with those monkeys. We need your time freed up to help us in our futile attempts at chasing down GT3s at ORP next year. If they won't let me park in the "Carrera Corral" I should at least pass a few for some laughs...
