Enough of the hug english stuff you guys still need help. It seems no mater how hard i try to spend money with you guys i dont get taken seriously or you dont need the buisness? Oh well kaizen speed gets the 2.3 stroker evo 10 job Thanks for the return call Arron. The motor is out and on its way to ERL for some love. I cant seem to figure you guys out sometimes I know you guys do good work and respect you knowledge but the phone/no call back thing has got to be fixed. At least i can see you are concerned and know its a problem. I am like many people i dont have alot of patience. I asume the problem is you see far to many people that want to talk about doing a build and not do it, I however was ready and the no return calls is enough to send me elsewhere. I guess one of the badest evo 10,s in the nw is going to be built by kaizen speed. Dont take this as a bash in any way just take it as proof that you are loosing buisness and you need to work harder to find a fix. You guys were my first choice but not the only choice.

That would suck if it blew up on the first pass.

Actually you can thank ERL for not getting back to me. I do not sell other peoples motors and am not responsible for their communication. They couldnt seem to let me know if they had actually built this combination or not, only that there was a kit available. If they did call it was most likely when I was in Wichita tuning, Luke was gone on a family emergency, and they didnt leave a message.

I can only make the excuse that I missed an opportunity. There will be no drama in this thread. Ryan is unsatisfied and there is nothing I can do to change that. To be perfectly clear we were contacted about this last tuesday though so I will let everyone else decide on our return communication. I had done my best to supply quotes for everything up to the 2.3/2.5 that Ryan is apparently building now. I did the part and price research for who sells what and outlined options. He doesnt apparently like to wait for answers. I dont like to sell timebombs and waited for a return call on tuesday and then wednesday after calling again. I was gone from Thursday at 0400 till Sunday/Monday morning 0400 and there were no forwarded voicemails to the email inbox from ERL.

Ryan to further explain this if you want to post like that, a PM is generally more appreciated beforehand. We have 6 guys going 7 different ways everyday and normally more like 10. This was "some changes for the better at ER" not "everyone look at us we are now suddenly perfect and never drop the ball". We can only improve as fast as we can, we are making every effort to make sure this isnt a common occurrence. A 5 day tuning trip and an emergency trip to AZ from the 2 people that answer the phone can severely limit what happens around a shop. When I get back there is 5 days of work to catch up on.

On the otherhand I am glad to see that Reid gets some Mitsu work. Their fab is very nice and I am sure their ability to R&R a motor is as well.

Aaron

Seriously guy, look at the facts before you rant like this publicly :/ and by facts, I mean think about how few posts/threads there are saying anything negative about ER, and realize that you're probably one of very few. That to me would mean your issue was an isolated incident, and that it was probably (and even Aaron stated) completely unintentional. It happens sometimes.

Once again Very sorry Ryan we were unable to help you right, but I think we were splitting directions when using someone else's motor came into play. Aaron did spend a few hours looking into the company and called them, but when asked asked if they have ever built and ran this motor in a X they told us they did not know and would call us back. They never did call. Then there was a family emergency that I had to leave for and of course it had to happen during Aaron's planned tune trip.

We do Motors, Transmissions, Tuning and everything in between. This is really special because there leaves no gray area. If there is a problem we know it's our deal.

Unlike most shops that sub motors and trans out and if there is a problem then the blame game can start on who is covering all the labor. I know if I install someone elses motor and it has a problem and its not my fault I am not going to cover pulling and installing it.

Like there is a good example of a guy named John in your area that had a rod failure in his alum rod motor we built. I had Jeff up there the next day with the trailer and we are taking care of everything. If John had brought us a motor to install the story might not go the same.

I don't like the gray areas. I like to know I can cover everything and the more parts we bring in that are not ours the harder it is to cover the car.

The facts are i was not set on a particular build i needed help making some decissions. I asked for some oppinions i asked to have you guys check it out and get back to me.Erl sells this kit in parts and you could have controlled the build or you can send off your block. I would have done what ever you guys were pushing. It just boils down to the facts of everytime i try to send my buisness your way it goes wrong for what ever reason. This time i was convinced that if you didnt get back to me in the first few day you were not going to get back to me at all. Im a busy guy, I am a little older than most of your customers I ran my own buisness for 15 years i know the growing pains of buisness. I put this here for your bennifit i think you guys want to do it right i really like Arron and Lucas I just feel like you have to earn my buisness with customer service. This stuff isnt cheap having your oppinions would have been a great help in getting this build going. I know you do great work and i have always respected your knowledge if you get it all straightened out with the phones i will try again.

Not making any excuses, but I think you nailed it pretty well in your first post 3dman. They get absolutely inundated with calls regarding "help me with my build," and a lot of those tun out to be no-op. Again, not to make an excuse, and it sounds like Aaron spent time doing this for you.

One thing I've learned is not to rely on phones when I have email. Email is easy, better to collect thoughts/outline with, trackable, and I can reply-all as a reminder which will put it right back to the top of the radar, if not already there. I typically don't leave a message when I call - I just jump to my email. That may not be the best endorsement for the phone service with ER, but I do that with most places I do business with.

BTW I do receive a callback from Lucas or Aaron at times just because they see I've called, even though I didn't leave a msg. My reply is usually "well, I sent an email, but this is what I'm after..." At 35 years old, I don't think age is a factor on email/phone, though I suppose my parents would rather call.

One thing I want to point out is that I hear the "well I have or have had a business..." point from numerous people. That is all well and good, and customer service is customer service, and you are bound to lose business if you are unable to provide that to your customer's/potential customer's level of expectation. What I challenge people with is to sit with the ER guys for an hour, two hours, half a day, etc. and ask whether your business was ever like that.

A question that always pops in my mind when I'm with the ER crew is "how in the fugg do they turn a profit??" With people and bills to pay, stress of the business/roles that they are in, time that they invest with their customers to "make it right," the only word that comes to mind is "PASSION" (yes, in all caps). That is what keeps me, and many others coming back.

I'll say it again, I am not making excuses as it is ER's business to win or lose. They are evolving, which always has pains, but I'm glad I'm here for the ride!
