New House
I just moved into a new house and am extremely happy to finally have a garage. I got big plans to finish the garage (drywall, Epoxy floor, custom shelving). That is as soon as I have money again. Just wanted to share my excitement!

Thanks! And yeah, I doubt this is going to happen for awhile. The extra money that I save will probably go to new Cams first anyways.
I have some industrial shelves in my garage that will be a beeatch to move when I eventually epoxy the floor. The garage will definitely get epoxied in quadrants.

btw - make sure you plan for monies back come tax time!
Depending on how much interest you're paying, adjust what you claim on your W-4 a bit and see where that gets you come year end (or you could pre-plan now and get relatively close).

Congrats on the new house! It's great to have your own place with space to work on the toys.
A little advice: do all of the work that you want to do on the garage before you put anything in it. Take it from me. I wanted to finish my garage out too. I did manage to get as far as painting, but have yet to epoxy the floor... every time I look at all of the stuff that I would have to move, I tell myself, "Maybe later..."

Congrats dude! Having a garage is a must. Hopefully you're not like me and wanting a 3 car garage (instead of 2), a lift, and everything else possible. Nothing is ever good enough for me I swear.

We moved from a super small apartment so we have basically nothing in there right now. We also have a shed that I can put things in if need be. I'm sure with time it will be packed full but I think I have some time before it gets to that point.
dont forget that closing costs are deductable, as are pre-paid points and in some cases HOA fees paid at closing.

Me and my wife moved out here just for a change in our lives. We love WI but figured if we didn't move out of midwest now, we would have never gotten out. We absolutely love it out here and don't plan on moving back.
I work for Stratus Automation down in Kent as a Mechanical design engineer. We do custom automated material transport systems for Hard drive and solar cell systems. Right now I am designing a machine for Western Digital & Seagate. It's cool work and pretty robust machines, however it's coming with 12 hour days, 6 days a week and a lot of stress. That is why I am looking for a new job. So if anyone knows of a place that is hiring engineers, please let me know!
