If true that's a pretty good price if the car runs well and paint isnt hurt from being neglected, but stock clutch still...will probably need fixing soon

Yeah, its pretty close at 40k to the normal time an Evo needs a clutch. Paint is fine, just dirty. Ill probably clean it up again (did last year for him to sell be he never got around to it) as soon as weather gets better.

If you need to go through emissions youll have to find stock exhaust cause this has an old custom exhaust from English racing and no cat. Also rear o2 sensor is bad, got hit by a tire scrap from a semi, but that can just be turned off at ER which Im pretty sure we can get done for free (OG POS hookup).

Anyways, it has a few mods but has always been at 19-20psi and still on the stock clutch. I think he's looking for something in the 19k range.

I can vouch for Scott's car, def a nice clean evo!

****load of miles, I'd wait for a lower mileage one. 85K for a 2006 is AT LEAST 20k / year

Is it me, or does it have an 8 bumper with a chopped nose?

Aha. That's what it is. My first thought was something was weird with the bumper but I just ignored it.

be patient. i know what it's like to want to impulse buy, i was in the same boat without a car and needing one and i didnt want to wait, but i did and it paid off. you are paying a premium on that car at 19k. if you don't have autocheck, get it. unlimited reports for 1 month, best money i spent.

the car you're looking at looks like it was in some sort of accident in the past, there's no other real reason someone would chop an evo8 nose and put it on an evo9. if you plan on building/tracking the car, the 6-speed isn't the best option IMO. also painted wheels = owner obviously didnt' care much about keeping the car in pristine shape. unless clutch was done recently, it's probably needing to be changed in the next 10k miles, and the 90k service is soon-coming. aftermarket blow off valve, no snorkel on the intake, no floormats

you can do better

also, while this one below may look good, it's from a car lot auction in florida and has a salvage title (I looked at it when shopping for a car)

could look at
http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/cto/2276820562.html
and call ER and ask about the car if they have it on file still
