a couple things to note; 85k miles on a 5 year old car may not mean 20k per year. check the "born on date." that said, I wouldn't buy one of these cars with that many miles.

Also, some people prefer the VIII chopped nose to the IX, but it is definitely still worth checking into.

very nice tool, Demon, and good you can go private party OP. I'd highly suggest doing that, and it sounds like there are already a couple nice options to go for. Good luck!

im about 99% sure that it was not an option until the 04 because the 03s were pretty basic straight forward evos i think mitsu was more testing the market with the 03s than anything.

YUCK!!! I dont think the VIII chopped nose looks good at all. I would take the factory VIII anyday over that or switch to the IX bumper if it really bothered me that much. I actually like the VIII bumpers, especially with the carbon fiber side ducts. They look ALOT better on VIII's than they do on IX's.

I know you saw the Kirkland one before but it's still a decent deal, especially if they're willing to negotiate a bit

SSL = Sound, Sunroof, and Leather.

SE had aluminum roof, red stitched seats, and lower lip. Im drawing a blank on other differences though.

None of the 03-06 do, you can get aftermarket kits though. the X was the first US evo with cruise

SE has different front lip (zero-lift kit), red stitching on the seats, aluminum roof, se badge on rear, HID's (I think all 06's did though), "hyper black" forged bbs wheels (more like silver)

ssl is the sunroof, leather, and sound (subwoofer in trunk)

Not all, at least base IX's dont. My IX has neither HID's nor fogs factory.
