On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 means that this will have no effect either way and 10 means that this is a completely crazy idea, I'd rank calling the officer about an 8. To get the whole 10 points, follow her home and knock on her door.

This is not always the case. I know of at least one individual off the top of my head who represented himself for a ticket and beat it. It does not seem this should be a tough case to beat as long as long as the OP knows how to handle the case, which it sounds like he has a lot of research to do.

In WA it is pretty easy to fight tickets on your own. Taking the risk on a reckless is definitely something I wouldn't automatically recommend.

Kanweezy, I think it helps a bit that you have witnesses but of course they will be biased for you.

I agree with Iowa, btw.

So its common knowledge that Evo's to police are like a matador waving a red cape to a bull. Everyone knows this, might as well stay on your best behavior or "consequences will never be the same!"

Can't help you with your case but as for my opinion:

I think you could've slowed down and allowed said douchebag to pass, obviously the other option didn't work.

For the full ten, I'd think you have to wear a full clown suit, complete with face make-up, and carry two dozen red flowers. Beware of husbands.

Fixed.

Wink Get Good Help

I would take the advice of the person who recommended Jenny Mucklestone .She is one of the best lawyers in Washington who specialize in driving cases. A Reckless Driving ticket if it sticks, will cost you thousands in car insurance charges. The lawyer will be cheap in the long run. Call her, she is listed on the web. If and when I ever get a ticket I give the issue to her to handle. Keeping your driving record clean saves you money and sometimes it's better to purchase the services of a pro to be your advocate, being cheap here is not a good idea.

Well said, even today I was minding my own business on the way over to the store and a cop cuts off a guy who is like 10ft behind me and rids my bumper for about 30seconds before I pulled off into the left turn lane, and he just sped off. I was just like wtf.
To the op good luck

You and your 3 witnesses were probably riding that guys *** and thats why he wouldnt let you pass. So note to yourself.... stop driving like a d-bag and keep it on the track. Just because you have a quick car doesn't give you the right to drive like an ***. And btw I an officer and unless a judge issues a subpoena to release the dash camera you have to right to see it AFTER the citation is issued. The officer probably saw 4 20something individuals blowing by a car and thats why you got wreckless driving. It can be issued for almost any driving violation in the officers discretion. So good luck in court
