If you know you didnt do anything wrong then get a lawyer and fight it. With my accident, the cop ran a solid red light while i had the green and yet the first police report said i was at fault. However, i knew i did absolutely nothing wrong so i got an attorney. Long story short, and with the correct evidence being reviewed, a second police report came out and said the cop was actually at fault and i did everything i could to avoid the accident. So as long as you did nothing wrong you can fight it and win.

And on a side note, no i sold that evo (it was consider salvage and the front end was way worse then it shows in the pic) back to my insurance and was able to get a new evo9 se with only 18,xxx miles on it. This one is completely stock so i will get to have some fun messing around with it.

agreed with this of course!!!

also after reading every post in this thread it sounds to me like the OP has a real anger issue! you managed to go off on anyone and everyone is this thead who said maybe you should look at how you drive instead of bad mouthing the officer. now with that being said i dont know if you did anything wrong as i wasnt there to see it. if everything you said is true then you did nothing wrong as in the state of washington it's legal to pass on the right and to go over the speed limit to pass. however your exhaust being loud thats one we all get hit with at some point. and now with that being said to I dont think your telling the whole story. as far as the officer taking a "mile" to pull u over thats pretty easy to explain. if your doing 60mph then it will take you 1 minute to cover a mile. if you sped up to over 75mph then it will take you 45 seconds to cover that mile and so on. now even if the officer was driving at or around the speed limit (dought it, she was probably going around 70) and you were doing 75 (dought it, you were probably going more around 90) then she would have had to pickup speed to catch up to you and the police cars dont accelerate as good as the evo so u were probaly pulling on her at first. she then would have to get in behind you before turning on her lights (that standard proceedure to minimize people running). thats probably why it took a mile to pull u over.
now that my 2 cents was put in OP good luck with your case, I recommend a lawyer!

After reading your post again I say you're at fault, good luck fighting it but you probably won't win. For one it sounds like the other guy got on the ramp first therefore he already has the right away. And passing on the right on the onramp is, well reckless. I don't see how it's so hard to wait just a few seconds untill you're on the actual highway to pass his slow *** then flip him off. Anyway good luck

In some courts in washington they will have a prosecutor in the court room too, to fight the tickets because they said too many tickets were being dropped so now the state wants its money haha i guess itll depend on the judge some just have a hard on for passing out fines

Odd story. If wa has half a brain that Texas does, then years ago police camera laws would have been passed. Meaning in cliff notes - Cops cant be trusted - state and federal law enforcement recognizes this- so to fix it car camera has to run 100% of the time.
I suggest lawyer up and put that Bi%#& in her god dam place. Which is a public servant. They will have to review tapes and if there is misconduct she will be fined and face internal reprecussions.
There is no "he said she said" like some other posters are bull ****ting about, thats them talking out of thier A$$. its either physical evidence or no case. Doubt me? turn on the television and see our law system work correctly for the first time in a LONG time with casey anthony.

Isn't it annoying when people don't read before they post? It's almost as annoying as people who change their story from day to day and expect everyone else to only remember the most recent version. Example:

Granted, your two statements are about different things - viz., what you did vs what she wrote you up for - but you gotta admit that it's a tad confusing.

Something tells me you have mommy issues.

OP: Your story doesn't jive. That's all there is to it. If you were pulling onto a 2 lane ramp, and there was a car there not letting you merge, you either were going way too fast, and caught this person up, then slowed down realizing you didn't have the space to pass them ON THE RIGHT, and merge, or you pulled onto the ramp at the same time, and realized the lanes merged, and you tried to accelerate and take lead position.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say it was option 1, as even a stock Evo has FAR more than enough power to pass pretty much anything on an on ramp, and take a lead. Assuming both parties pulled on at the same time. Also, even with a straight pipe, my Evo only got really loud at WOT, so in order for this cop to hear you, you were at WOT. If you were at WOT, on an on ramp, trying to merge, you were already going far faster than anyone else on said ramp, and probably running out of space to safely merge, and ended up cutting the other person off a bit, which the cop probably saw. That also means this other person was a ways down the on ramp before you hit it, and you were just being a jackass, and did a hard pull down the ramp.

I realize that Evo's are cop magnets, but it's people who drive like jackasses that make it that way.

I'd advise a lawyer if you really want this gone. I'd also advise learning to drive. Just because your car made ~350 whp at the dyno a few weeks ago (if this is the Maroon X I'm thinking of) doesn't mean you get to show off to your friends whenever you want.

Maybe cops are a bit different between here and wa, but I have yet to even be pulled over in any of my Evos (3). I haven't been pulled over in 10 years (minus an honest mistake in tahoe). Are there dick cops out there? Definitely, but if you drive normal, don't have any flags (like lack of front license plate or super dark tint or loud exhaust), cops usually don't mess with you.

I have been pulled over because my turn signal was "too bright". I highly doubt I was doing anything wrong sitting at a light to make a turn.

What you were pulled over for and why you were pulled over are not always the same thing. Sad, but true.

I've been pulled over twice in my Evo.

1st: No front license plate.
I didn't have a front license plate on my car, its the law to have one. I broke the law.

2nd: Speeding
I was speeding, law says don't speed. I broke the law.

Maybe the cops saw the rear wing or loud exhaust and it down right infuriated them. So much so that they wanted to pull me over and write me a ticket. Or maybe I just broke the law.
