Auchtuning

Anyone have any experience with Auchtuning in Redmond? They are primarily (according to their website) Audi tuners but Vishnu out of California list them as approved intallers for Vishnu products. I am thinking of getting some work done on my EVO and am considering Auchtuning. If I had a decent size garage I would do it myself. If there are any other NW tuners that people could recommend that would be cool too. Thanks

I called this place about a month ago (before I got my P2 flash). They will install the Vishnu products but not tune them. (no custome Exede map) Since I could do the install but not the tunning I wasn't interested.
I forget the guys name but he is on the forum once in a while.
Since I couldn't easily get a custom tune and after seeing some idle and check engine light problems with Excede, I decided to go with Works.

Thanks for that info...I was going to drive over and see them (94 miles left on the break in period so any excuse to drive...) but the snow changed my mind. Thinking now that I will call Works and Vishnu this week and decide which one to go with, from what I have read in the forums people seem to be happy with both.

I had my vishnu gear installed at achtuning and tuned at FAME automotive (the only AWD dyno in the area) 5 minutes away. PM me if you want more details.

Achtuning

I've been working with Ben M. @ Achtuning who's helping install various Vishnu parts. He seems to be the most knowledgeable on the evo. Cheers

Yes, I was also thinking about hitting a dyno day down in Portland. I got impatient and it seemed like a nice Xmas present so I did the works P2 flash last month. I'm very happy with it.

Decisions

Thanks for all the info folks. I will probably have Auchtuning install a Vishnu Stage 1+ sometime in the future, hopefully not too distant - I just quit my job so my timetable has been delayed a bit. Just trying to decide who to have do the tuning on her.

Achtuning is a good shop. I've visited there before, sat in the owner's car, etc, and one of my friends has had them do all the performance mods on his Audi S4 and TT. If you're looking for a shop with years of experience working on modded Mitsu turbos and the 4G63 engine, check out www.pinamotorsports.com They have a shop in Kent, and Andre has done good work on my car a couple times. As mentioned here, I believe FAME is the only AWD dyno in the area.

I personally have no experience tuning the xede, but Tim@Dyno Authority/Fame Automotive can, no problem.
