Hi, my mom has an outlander sport. I like it, she hates it. The CVT is very disorienting though.
I gave it a day and nobody posted here, so I'm calling "First"

CVT in drive mode is odd for sure, I'm using the paddle shifter more and more around town and only letting it do drive mode on the highway for slightly lower revs and better MPG.
I've already gotten a good 10% extra power boost out of my Outlander Sport through a K&N panel filter and ECUFlash tune, tackling the RRM Exhaust headers and aluminum pulley sometime this week. It will never be fast as my Evo X MR but it will do fine for winter / secondary car duty.

In the mean time, I'm shooting for 180 crank HP as a goal with basic bolt-ons and a tune. I should be able to post the graph for my 10% gains I saw on the dyno on the tune + K&N shortly. I'll get the rest of the bolt-ons installed by the weekend with virtual dyno before and after pulls on the same flat stretch of road for comparison.
BTW the airfilter it uses is the same as the Evo X so likely I'm going to stick with the K&N panel filter and just make sure the air going in and out of it is as free flowing as possible. The factory airbox does a good job of sealing out the underhood heat and I don't see the airfilter as being a major restrction when you can get 120 mph trap speeds out of the same filter on an Evo X.

Look forward to hearing what you guys are doing with yours, and your experiences with it! OH, and the 4 foot moonroof is RIDICULOUSLY legit.
Same story here! Amazing little crossover! Can carry my wife and I's bikes WITHOUT hacing to take the wheels off, we went camping several times in it no problem, and the thing gets solid mileage for any crossover, let alone with 4wd!
I bought the cosworth drop in high flow filter for it (no oil), same as for the EVO X, and have run nothing but full synthetic oil, recently switching to Mobil 1 Full synthetic, and the thing pulls pretty decently using the paddle shifters. Using the paddle shifters was reocmmended and confirmed by the dealership, as it doesn't bring on the eco light AND allows you to stay more in MIVEC.

I'm used to having either a clutch pedal or a shift kit in an auto. this always/never shifting thing is weird as hell.
